About

Quality Paper Goods Marry DIY Convenience and Affordability

The CARDvark journey is a classic tale of triumph coming from adversity. In my mid-thirties, I was diagnosed with stage 4 non-hodgkin lymphoma--a disease which forced me to find creativity and sanity on a laptop, sitting in bed. Digital scrapbooking became my passion, and happily evolved into a valuable and rewarding skill with graphic art.

In 2010, my oldest son was about to graduate, so I began looking at graduation announcements. I discovered that they were either boring or expensive--or most often both. I set out to create an announcement that reflected who he was. Once I discovered how easy it was to print them myself, I decided to start a business. I knew there are other people out there who want great, personal design but are willing to do a couple of the simple things themselves in order to save money.

And that's what CARDvark is all about: offering custom, style-savvy graphic design without the high price tag. You, the customer, gets to work directly with the designer and avoid the hassle of working with a large, cumbersome business. This puts the design in your hands faster, costs you less, and gives you more control over choosing your finishing options.

As for cancer, I went into remission and stayed there for 11 years! Recently it returned, and I just finished 6 months of chemo. Through it all, I have had the pleasure of intereacting with and creating for, many wonderful, devoted customers.

Most items are delivered as jpg or png image files, to the email address listed, within 24 hours. Any exceptions to this will be detailed in the item's listing.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the digital nature of our items, there are no refunds or exchanges once the item has been delivered to you.

All items have been color tested in printed format for the standard colors offered. Any custom color alterations are not guaranteed. I will do my best to work with you on matching choices; however, it is your responsibility to test the printed result of the colors.

Keep in mind that color will vary to at least some degree among different monitors as well as printing methods. If exact color is a concern to you, I strongly suggest you invest in printing a sample BEFORE committing to a large print. I cannot issue any refunds for disappointments in color.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that once an order is placed, I will communicate with you via the email listed with your Etsy account. If this is not the email you currently use, please let me know right away.

STANDARD ORDERS:
You will receive a proof for every order that involves personalization. I will correct any errors I have made for no charge, for as many times as it takes. I will create up to 2 more proofs to accommodate alterations for your personal taste. After that, (ie, a total of 3 proofs) there will be an additional charge for each new proof.

Since all listings are for digital images only, you will be responsible for researching and selecting your own printing method. I strongly suggest that you do this before you place your order, since some options--such as professional printing--require specific sizes that I need to accommodate during the personalization process. Please also be aware that there can be significant differences in printing prices between the 4x6 and 5x7 sizes, especially when using standard photo developing services. Changing sizes after the proof is delivered will result in a small design fee between $2 and $5.

**Once you approve the proof, it is final, and ANY changes requested after are subject to a $3.00 fee.**

CUSTOM ORDERS:
If you would like any custom work done--whether a simple alteration to an existing design, or a complete item from scratch--you must first contact me. We will communicate back and forth until I have a good enough feel for your request that I can provide a custom design quote. Once we have agreed on a price and a timeline, I will create a custom listing for you in my shop. When that listing is purchased, I will begin the design.

Within the agreed-upon time, I will provide you with a proof. I will correct any errors I have made for no charge, for as many times as it takes. I will create up to 3 more proofs to accommodate alterations for your personal taste. After that, (ie, a total of 4 proofs) there will be an additional charge for each new proof. If at any time I feel that your requests are exceeding the scope of our original agreement, I reserve the right to discuss new terms.
