After experiencing a health issue that prevented me from being able to walk pain free, there was more time to sit & think while recuperating about how short life is & how I had been procrastinating on my dreams. When I was feeling stronger, I decided to act on one of my dreams to do something more with my love for creativity. So, from this experience CareFreeGinger Etsy Shop was born.

I am an eclectic music lover, a former radio D.J., novice script & short story writer, live theatre & movie lover, former drama club member, fun lover & a free spirt. I love to laugh & love people who know how to have fun, but also know when it is time to be serious (but not too serious) LOL. These characteristics & experiences made me want to create an Etsy shop & designs that show an appreciation for the beauty of the world & nature. Products that can possibly help with some daily challenges, spark creativity & others that just focus on love, fun, embracing happy people & nurturing & uplifting spirits.

We all of course have our moments in which we doubt ourselves, but we have to realize that one day we will cease to exist. Our voices will be silenced. So, we have to eliminate toxic behaviors & people from our lives as much as possible. Surround ourselves with people who support us just as we support them, wisely face our fears, go for our dreams & be our best selves while we can.

I have two favorite quotes by Les Brown, the motivational speaker. One is "When life knocks you down, try to land on your back, because if you can look up, you can get up." With my health issue, I am doing better these days, although I still experience occasional bouts with pain while walking. I continue however to nurture my dreams.

In a second quote Les Brown stated: "The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.” Revisiting that quote, helps me to remember that I want to go to the grave with no dreams left unfulfilled. Etsy was my first step towards fulfilling another dream.

Although life will always test you and bring you challenges, those quotes are what drive me to keep trying & to do my best with all of my heart to make my dreams a reality. My hope is to help customers in some way, to hopefully bring them a smile, even better a laugh or maybe some inspiration to take a positive first step to not only invest in but to believe in yourself.
