I am a military wife (retired) and grandmother, who loves the beaches of Florida and the mountains of western North Carolina. I split my time between these two locations and my art is influenced by both areas.

When I started painting in oils and pastels, over twenty years ago, I felt that I finally found what I wanted to do with my life. Some days were full of agony and frustration as I struggled to improve my skills, and some were exciting, but the easel called me back, day after day.

When I was introduced to the internet, I found the "Daily Painting Movement" which preaches that if you paint every day, you will advance. And paint I did...and did.....and still do. Soon my studio was overflowing with small paintings. Etsy to the rescue! I found the perfect place to highlight my work and present it to the world!

The exciting thing about being an artist is that you never stop learning, your work evolves from week to week. I love all subject matter and paint impressionistic to abstract I enjoy color and texture, I want the viewer to reach out and touch....a big no no in galleries! I work hard to improve the quality of my work every day. I have developed a few painting techniques which helps to make my art unique, and I have been fortunate enough to license my work with several companies.

I love knowing that my art is in homes from Australia to Alaska, that you no longer have to be an art expert or invest a fortune to own original art. Recently, I have added giclee' prints of my work, available on either canvas or watercolor paper. It pleases me to be able to offer my art in print form, allowing affordability to all.
