About

Welcome to the eclectic past.

I don’t think my life has ever lacked a love for history. I grew up hiking in old cemeteries, identifying transferware in antique shops, and wishing I could don a fedora and run away to Egypt.

Creating an Etsy shop was an incredibly obvious and natural step in my life, so in the spring of 2009, “CARPEBELLUS” was born. With the help of my mother, Andrea, I’ve had lots of fun and success selling unique antique and vintage items online.

I’m currently working on my Masters in Museum Studies. Like my Etsy shop, I hope my education will be a way to impart history’s beauty to everyone.

Payment
We appreciate payment made within 3 days after the purchase. If there is a circumstance where you cannot pay in a timely manner, please convo us immediately. If payment is not made 5 days after purchase and you have not contacted us, the sale WILL BE CANCELLED.
Shipping
We ship items via USPS and take great care in packaging your items. Most items are shipped first class or priority. Priority has insurance for up to $50. Books are shipped via media mail. Larger, heavier items may have to go retail ground due to cost and you may wish to purchase insurance. We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged packages after shipment. Just contact us before paying so we can adjust your invoice.

We gladly refund shipping cost overages if the difference in the price of shipping is $2.00 or more (rounded up to whole dollars). If this is the case with your purchase, we will refund the money to your Paypal account.
Refunds and Exchanges
ALL SALES ARE CONSIDERED FINAL.
You are purchasing a used item that has likely seen decades of handling. Imperfections are inherent and should be embraced when purchasing vintage items. They are unique, one-of-a-kind, and sold as they are. We pride ourselves on detailed descriptions and clear, representative pictures. Refunds will only be made if you feel that the images or description of the item has been grossly misrepresented. If this should occur, there will be NO refund of shipping costs.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about items before purchase to ensure your satisfaction.
