Announcement   Thank you so much for taking the time to browse in my store. What is listed here is just a small smattering of the thousands of rugs my folks and I have in our brick and mortar store, www.JahannAndSons.com. If what you're looking for size or style-wise isn't listed in my Etsy store, please convo me! There is a good chance I have it, but haven't gotten around to listing it yet.

More pairs! If you like things to match, let me know! We got a lot of pairs on our latest shopping adventures. These two would be great for an L-shaped hall.

Need a pair of handmade rugs? While no two pieces are very exactly alike, we do have quite a few pairs that would be great for either side of your bed or anywhere else you need symmetry. Just ask!

We got some more awesome pieces from the motherland, mostly vintage herizes and runners. Check back over the next week to see these goodies listed!

About

Rugs, rugs, rugs, and, oh wait, more rugs!

Why hello there, Textile Enthusiast! If you are reading this, you probably are in the market for a fabulous rug. You have come to the right place! This Etsy shop is an offshoot of my family's brick and mortar store, Jahann and Sons Persian Rugs in Kensington, MD (www.jahannandsons.com). We've been in the rug biz for ages, going back 5 generations to the tiny little town of Kashan, Iran where some of the loveliest floral Persian rugs are made.
Our family's shop has been providing valuable rug sales and services to the DC metro area since before I was born! As a kiddo, I used to play on the piles of rugs while my parents would conduct business, and my folks used to joke that I was the Princess of the Carpet Shop. My reign of the rug shop has continued into my adulthood, and I now help customers throughout the land find the best rugs for their homes, offices and lifestyle. Rugs on Etsy are a small sample of the extensive inventory in our Kensington shop, so let me know if there is something in particular you're looking for...I probably have it somewhere in my carpet kingdom!

  • Katie Koshy

    Owner

I was born to a long line of rug dealers with a skein of wool in my mouth. My family's Persian rug business made for the perfect backdrop for my childhood, and as an adult, I find myself very much at home working with my pops.

  • My Rugrat

    The Boss Of Me

Patricia joined the family business in Q3 of 2013. She is responsible for any tardiness in correspondence and order processing. Should she choose the rug life, she'll be a sixth generation rug dealer!

  • Dear Old Dad

    Advisor

Dad taught me everything I know about rugs and much of what I know about life. The rugs that you see in my Etsy shop were originally purchased by him for our retail store - some before I was born! He is a certified appraiser and knowledgeable dealer.

Unfortunately, due to the weight of most of my items, I cannot ship to Alaska or Hawaii, or anywhere outside of the lower 48 states. Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that everything I sell is handmade, and therefore, imperfect. I make every effort to describe all imperfections, flaws, or condition issues, so please read descriptions carefully and ask questions if you have any. In general, the rug measurements that are given do not include any fringe or tassles. I use a scale of Poor - Fair - Good - Very Good - Excellent to rate the condition of my rugs with Poor being used to describe a rug that is has some holes and is probably best for repurposing, and Excellent being like-new or showroom quality.
