Announcement   Welcome to my shop!

Please feel free to browse around and contact me if you have any questions about the work. I take great care in crafting and designing my pieces and hope you will find something unique that will fit your needs.

My inspiration is in capturing elements found in nature- textures, patterns, waves, folds, lines, light and shadows. I hope to achieve a quiet meditative feel in these pieces and enjoy subtle colors and glazes. The forms I create are intended to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing, working mostly in porcelain as a smooth surface for my carvings.

I'm one of those people who believe in the idea "teach what you love and love what you teach"- so most of my high school students will tell you they have seen me obsessing about a pot at one time or another. I love teaching others about the nature of clay and most of my day is spent in the classroom, but I'm working on spending more time creating my own art.

Please appreciate the time and effort involved in each of these pieces. No two are exactly alike- even in sets! Each work is carved by hand at the leather hard stage and then carefully cleaned up and reexamined before firing and glazing. Most of my time and effort is put into the surface design and it is not unusual for me to have several hours work in a large intense pot.

I hope you find a piece of mine that a piece of you will fall in love with! Work left from the Smokey HIll River Festival will be posting soon! Please check frequently as I update my listings!

Hi! Welcome to my shop!

Work is original wheel-thrown and hand carved clay. No two pieces are exactly alike. My abstract patterns and linear designs have their origins in the folds of petals and leaves, ripples on water and the beauty of nature. Pieces are both functional and decorative with food-safe glazes.

Payment
I accept etsy card payment, Paypal, Personal Checks and Money Orders. For checks and money orders work will be sent as soon as payment is received. For faster processing and convenience I strongly encourage you to consider or credit at checkout.
Shipping
Shipping is via USPS priority mail or parcel post. Please allow up to one week for delivery of items shipped within the United States.

Due to the fragile nature of ceramics I take great care in packaging my work. Each piece is bubble wrapped and then placed in a box at with at least two inches of packing peanuts surrounding in each dimension. It is very difficult for work to be damaged with these precautions. However, if you should have a piece damaged during transit I will happily replace it with a similar item or return your payment. Damage confirmation should be in the form of a photograph.

I am working on green packaging so when available I use decomposable peanuts constructed from corn starch and reuse other packaging materials as much as possible.

Shipping outside of the United States will be by USPS international first class, so depending upon your location please allow additional time for delivery. I will do my best to assure your work is delivered safely and promptly.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason I will return the purchase price including half of your shipping costs upon safe return of the piece. My goal is your satisfaction! Although I try to represent my pieces as accurately as possible, I want you to feel like you can shop without risk.
Additional policies and FAQs
Due to the nature of my carvings each work is unique. However if you would like to request a custom piece based on earlier forms, carving style and glaze colors I would be happy to consider your request. Please convo me for specific information. Most pieces take approximately one month to complete so please plan accordingly.

Thank you,
Natalie Brown
