It is a beautiful idea!! But the design is a little too small. I will be the first to buy one if she makes it larger so that you can see the barnacles.

About

Beyond the Shores We Know

We are constantly in opposition to nature in today’s world. We build structures like dams to control nature and buildings to keep the environment out instead of learning to coexist. Ultimately, we create a false dichotomy: We cannot and never will be completely separate from nature.

My work focuses on the interaction between humans and the natural world, placing the wearer in reversal of the current order. I invoke structures, textures, and colors from nature and use them to overtake the human form itself, allowing nature to reclaim us. While making my jewelry, I imagine the wearer as a survivor of some mischance, stranded alone in wild and unfamiliar surroundings. Someone who has been removed from civilization and forced to reconcile with nature in order to survive.
