Hi,
My name is Julie, & I have been in some sort of creative, wood working craft for the past 25 years. In Sept 2012, I opened my Etsy shop, and Castle Inn Designs was "built".
I have a love for creating anything with words..... I'm so blessed to be able to work from home & do something I LOVE!...not to mention being home & spending more time with my sweet daughter!

Thanks to my supportive hubby who helps keep all the "wheels turning", I can devote most of my time to the growing business! I give thanks to our Lord every day for our many blessings, and for this opportunity He has given us!

♥Welcome to Castle Inn Designs.

We are thrilled to be able to create something special for you.

We are a family home based business and have had wood craft business for over 25 yrs & our customers are extremely important to us and our business!

Our signs are made from the highest quality materials. We want to make sure you are exceptionally satisfied with our products.

If you have special requests, I will gladly send you a sketch proof to be approved. I request with special orders, that your order be processed first, then I will do all I can to make sure you are pleased with the proof before creating your sign for you.

♥CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Customer Service is top priority for us. We will do all we can to make sure you are satisfied with your order. If you have a special time frame, special request, or are looking for something different, I will go out of my way to try to accommodate your request. My goal is to have you WANT to come back again!

♥CURRENT SIGN PRODUCTION TIME
Each sign is made from start to finish after you place your order. Signs are not in stock & ready to ship (unless indicated). ****Please see my shop for current production time(does not including shipping time) www.castleinndesigns.com
If your order is expected to take longer, I will let you know. Please let me know the date you need it by, and I will do what I can to make it happen for you!
Please email me if you have specific deadlines. Rush orders are often available, with an additional fee plus applicable shipping charges (extra shipping charges are not always necessary).

♥SIGNS
We use solid pine, or high quality MDF wood for all our signs. Please note, most wood has natural knots & grainsj, cracks & warps that make each sign unique. .
Many signs are made with 3/4 inch solid pine, however, some signs are also made with 1/4 inch & 1/2 inch MDF to offer different sizes & weights for various signs. The type & width of wood is noted in each description. Please message me if you have concerns with wood used, and we can discuss options.

♥LETTERING
We now finish most of our signs with a high quality vinyl lettering which resembles hand painted lettering but gives your sign a clean, crisp look. For most signs, you may request all hand painted lettering (the words are able to be distressed if you choose). The request for hand painted lettering needs to be done at the time of order, as your board is prepared shortly after your order is placed.

♥COLORS

♥WEDDING COLORS ►BRIDES - if you would like a sign color matched for your wedding, please let me know as I'm happy to do so. I prefer a swatch, if available, to make sure it coordinates well with your color. Please contact me for mailing address.

♥FONTS
In most cases, I am able to customize fonts for your sign. My font choices are listed with the color charts above.

♥FINISHES
For most signs, there are options in the type of finish you may order for your sign. Here is a link which shows examples of each finish.

♥PROTECTIVE SEALANT: ALL SIGNS are have protective finish applied and are painted & sealed on the back as well .

♥CUSTOM ORDERS:
I love creating new designs and welcome any requests you have. You can also customize most any sign I have listed by choosing different colors, fonts, or personalizing or changing words on a sign. Colors & font changes will not have any extra charges. Contact me for other customizing. We will create something just for you. I do prefer communication via Etsy instead of email.
If additional colors are requested for your sign, there may be an additional charge for the additional colors. If no color/changes are specified for your sign, you will receive the same color/fonts as the sample shown.

♥PRODUCTION TIME
Current turn around time is 4-5wks from order to ship date. (Shipping generally takes an additional 2-4 days in 48 contiguous). Production time is based on the current # of orders being worked. Please see below for Rush order details.

♥HOW TO PLACE YOUR ORDER:
→Open the item listing you'd like to purchase
→Choose drop down choices
→Add item to your cart
→There is an "Optional Note to Seller" Box for details for your order.

►Please put your details in that box to include: Dates, Names, Wording, Fonts, Colors, Wedding Date, Need By Date, etc.
→Complete your payment with PayPal or Credit Card
→You will receive an automated email regarding your purchase which will include an estimated ship date. If you have purchased Rush service with your order, this date is not correct.

I do allow in my normal production time, a little time allotted for those needing their signs sooner. I currently offer 3 Rush service options. *Please contact me to make sure I am able to accommodate your request.
1 - Sign is ready to ship out in 2 business days - $50
2 - Sign is ready to ship out in 10 days - $40
3 - Sign is ready to ship out in 3wks - $25

•••PLEASE NOTE••• Rush service does NOT include expedited shipping cost, it is strictly to cover the cost of adding your sign in with normally scheduled orders. If you need your sign very quickly, any expedited shipping costs will be in addition to Rush service cost.)

♥SHIPPING:
I ship USPS Priority & Fed Ex Ground in most cases in US. Most items easily arrive within 3-4 business days, and many times sooner than that. USPS & FEDEX do include insurance in most cases. You will receive a tracking number for your items via message from Etsy or you can find it in your order information once it has shipped. If you need your order by a specific date, please let me know at the time of order. Rush service may be required.
If you need your sign(s) quickly, expedited shipping is available at customer's expense. Message me, and I can let you know the rate for your zip code.

♥SHIPPING TO ANOTHER ADDRESS:
If you would like your item shipped to a different address, please change the shipping address at the time you place your order. It will be shipped to the address you request. If you request change of shipping address after your order is placed, in the Etsy notes, there is no way for me to change the address at that time.
I will do my best to note the change,but there is no way to guarantee it will be shipped to this address.

♥SHIPPING OUTSIDE 48 CONTIGUOUS STATES - Some locations are not able to complete their purchase without me adding the particular area to the listing, please let me know if you having any problems with shipping. There may also be additional shipping costs to some locations with heavier 1.5 inch thick wood or larger sized pieces. Extra shipping will be required to be paid prior to sign being completed & shipped.

♥INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - I do ship outside of USA. If international shipping is not available for item you are trying to purchase, please contact me as I continue to try to update all items.
Thicker wood (1.5 inch) & Larger sized signs may have extra shipping costs which will be required to be paid before item is shipped.

♥INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are responsible to know the rules & regulations including Duty Tax of International Sales before purchasing.
We are not privy to each country's process and have no way of knowing if or how much charges will be. These charges are not included in the shipping costs paid on Etsy. Any additional costs are the sole responsibility of the customer, and not the responsibility of Castle Inn Designs.

♥COMBINED SHIPPING: If you order multiple signs during same time, I will gladly combine shipping costs for you. An estimated combined shipping cost is listed with each item, but may actually be less. Please message me, and I will adjust your shipping total prior to you making payment or refund you the difference after the transaction is complete.

►♥◄Once your item is shipped, I have no further control over the package. I pack your sign with care, and try to make sure it will arrive safely.

♥DAMAGED shipments:
Unfortunately this does occasionally occur. If an item is damaged, it is important to keep ALL the packaging inside the box, and the box for USPS or FedEx often ask for it. Please take photos, and since the customer has all of the material and the damaged sign, I ask that you please make the claim to the shipper (this can be done online, over the phone, or in local office). Please contact me if you need any assistance with this process.

♥LOST or STOLEN Shipments: All items are shipped with a tracking # which the customer will be able to access in your account. Please take note of when your item may arrive and make arrangements to have it picked up if you won't be able to. I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages. If the item tracking information states the item was delivered, please check with your local Post Office or Fed Ex office, as many times, my customers report that it was never delivered even though it states as such, and often arrives at a later date, or may have been delivered to a neighbor or family member.

♥REFUNDS & EXCHANGES: ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

Please double check your dates & spellings, as I complete the sign with the information provided by the customer. Any errors made by the customer, will either delay shipment (if not shipped yet), or will lead to extra shipping costs & repair costs.
If an error in custom information is made by the customer, shipping cost both ways plus repair cost will be sole responsibility of the customer. If the error was made by Castle Inn Designs, we will cover 2 was shipping costs, or replace the sign (depending on the error).

Frequently asked questions

How long will it take me to receive my order?

Please check my store front page announcement for current production time. My turn around time is typically 5-6wks.

Production time for small dog signs typically takes 2-3wks.

I do offer Rush service (unless noted in announcements), which is an additional cost to receive your sign sooner.

Am I able to receive my order sooner than 5-6wks?

In most cases, I am able to offer Rush Service, which is an additional cost to your order, to have your sign processed/shipped sooner.

Rush service is an additional cost added to your order which does not include the cost of the sign(s) or shipping.

It is a fee added to your order, to cover cost of time to process your order sooner than standard production time (along with other scheduled orders).

Do you have examples of your finishes?

Here is a link to see examples of each finish offered.

Please know that each piece of wood is different, therefore, no 2 signs will be finished exactly alike. Distressing will vary on every piece.

Can I hang my sign outside?

My signs are made to be used indoors only.

Weathering from the natural elements may cause damage to your sign.

Can I have my sign gift wrapped & include a card?

I gift wrap all my signs. Depending on the availability of my "pretty gift wrap paper", I use brown paper for wrapping, but finish it with a pretty ribbon. If you would like to include a card, please include what you would like on the card (clearly) in the 'note to seller' area at checkout.

Notes left in Etsy messaging cannot be guaranteed to be included due to the large volume of message received.

What is the difference between Vinyl & Hand Painted Lettering?

I primarily use high quality vinyl for my lettering. It becomes one with the wood over time, and will last possibly longer than paint. It provides crisp lettering and allows for intricate details.

I do however now offer hand painted lettering for some signs. Hand painted lettering works well for lettering in which you would like some distressing on shabby chic or moderate distressed signs.

Please contact me if you would like to have your sign hand painted, otherwise, crisp vinyl lettering will be used.

Why does the shipping seem high?

Shipping costs have definitely risen over the past couple of years.
Wood signs can be quite heavy to ship. I try to use the least expensive of USPS or Fed Ex shipping.

Since I offer multiple sizes for most of my signs, and the system does not allow me to customize the shipping cost for the various sizes, therefore; I usually price it for the larger signs available. Please feel free to send me a message after purchase if you order one of the smaller sizes, as I may be able to offer a partial refund if this is the case.

Where do I add my custom information for my order?

After you place your item(s) in your cart, you should see a 'optional note to seller' box in the cart area. This is the perfect place to put your information as it will attach to your order.

Please double check your names spelling and dates for accuracy.
