i'm a Brisbane based artist creating waterproof origami jewelry & figurines, resin cast animal skull jewelry, resin coated flora and fauna, steampunk costumes & accessories and steampunk themed insect & plant illustrations and prints. many of my creations are one off, unique items.

everything in my shop is totally handmade by myself. all items are handcrafted using high quality materials and made to order however, slight differences may occur from time to time. that's what makes it unique!

i use many reclaimed and recycled papers in my origami work including postage stamps, comic books, sheet music and books. no books are harmed in my process - i only use books that can no longer be used as books.

pieces are priced according to:
1. size of the model: the smaller something is the more difficult it is to fold
2. cost of the paper varies greatly - bronzed paper is $20 a sheet!
3. cost of the findings: i use a mixture of precious and base metal findings

this is why the same model may sell for a variety of different prices.

most of the flowers and leaves i preserve and resin coat are from my own garden. i even make my own leaf skeletons.

the insects i use are from 2 entomologist friends - one works for a zoo and one for a traveling show for educating children in schools. so they are indeed ethically sourced, often having a spoilt life free from predators and fed the best food, and die from natural causes such as old age (insects only tend to live 3-6 months).

my costumes and clothing are made from vintage, reclaimed and recycled fabrics where ever possible. i favour using natural fibres such as silks, wools and cottons. all screenprinting and dying is fixed so that items can be washed in a household washing machine.

Returns and exchange details
as per australian consumer law, i do not accept returns due to 'change of mind'.

if your item does become damaged outside of reasonable wear and tear, please contact me. i may be able to repair the damage. items must be returned to me at buyer's expense and a small charge for repairs may be required.
all items are extremely well tested for durability under normal usage and have been sold at craft markets over the last ten years. prints and photographs have not only been tested by prolonged sun-exposure, but have also been hand-varnished using a UV-stabilising varnish.

all origami items have been coated with 3-4 layers of epoxy varnish which makes them quite durable and prevents fading.it also makes them waterproof. items have gone thru the washing machine by accident or earrings worn swimming or in the shower - all survived perfectly intact.

if you item does become damaged outside of reasonable wear and tear, please contact me. i may be able to repair the damage. items must be returned to me at buyer's expense and a small charge for repairs may be required.
Payment
orders are only accepted via etsy payment and order system.
Shipping
***** all parcels will now be sent via tracked, pre-paid options due to postal restrictions, delays and service cancellations. up to 10 items can be sent in a pre-paid, tracked 500gm satchel. if your country is not listed, i may only be able to send via seamail at this time. message me to ask about shipping destinations not listed.

once postal services return to normal, postage costs will return to previous cheaper options.*****

every item is hand-made by myself in my studio/gallery north of brisbane. during the global coronavirus pandemic i have not been able to work markets and events, so every online purchase helps me so much in keeping my business running. i certainly do a happy dance every time :)
items are still being posted within 3 days of your order. unfortunately due to the surge in demand and limited resources of our postal service during this time, delivery times are much longer. within australia, items may take up to 1-2 weeks to arrive. international orders may take up to 4-8 weeks to arrive. i can't do anything at all about these delays.
all items are well packaged in bubble wrap and waterproof, protective bags. your items will definitely be safe in transit, however long that may take.
please ensure that your postal address is current and correct. i cannot change a postal address after an item has been posted. if parcels are returned to me, then additional postage costs may be charged.
an item sent internationally with 'no-tracking' is not deemed 'lost' until at least 6 weeks have passed. there's not much i can do with a lost non-tracked item. sometimes they can be traced via the customs form number, other times not. if you want your item to be sent via 'tracking', please let me know and i will setup a listing with the additional charges. it is approximately $20 more in shipping to send a tracked parcel to the USA, UK and EUROPE.

i can't foresee any problems with customs due to the materials used. however, please check your local customs laws if there is any doubt. i can't be responsible for charges due to international customs regulations.
