Announcement   Welcome to my little world of Millefiori polymer clay. If you're looking for unique one-of-a-kind gifts you just may have found the right place! Millefiori actually means 1000 flowers but it also refers to the technique used in caning. Similar to the Venetian Millefiori technique using glass rods, I use raw polymer clay to create my cane designs. Just as with the glass rods, the design in the clay canes is identical the entire length. Each finished design is shaped into a long cane from which slices are taken and used to create the finished piece. The piece is baked, sanded, buffed and then a few protective coats of baked on sealer is applied. The finished piece is all hand designed polymer clay and no two are ever identical, insuring you of an original signed piece that I hope you will enjoy for many years to come.

Hi, I have been working in polymer clay since about 1999 and the most frequent question I get is “how do you get those tiny flowers on your items?” I’ve also spent years trying to figure out an easy way to explain it! Here it goes… I take raw solid colors of clay, mixing, blending and forming it into a long “cane”. Each cane is a different image and different colors and I have hundreds of these canes that I have made. From them I cut slices and design these slices onto my piece, be it an item such as a small pen or an Ostrich egg my process is the same. After all the slices are placed, I smooth it, sign it, bake it, then I sand it and apply several coats of baked on protective sealer to the item. You can see by the process that I can never duplicate any item 100%. They might look similar but never identical. I love what I do and I realize and appreciate that without customers like you I wouldn’t be able to do it and for that I sincerely thank you very much for purchasing my work.
