Welcome to Cedar Creek Soap Company! Offering natural cold process soaps, creative glycerin soaps, rich whipped body butters, nourishing balms and exfoliating scrubs.

I pride myself on making products with beneficial ingredients like nutrient rich oils, decadent butters, pure essential oils and natural additives. Other than the use of quality fragrance oils, certain colorants and the base for the glycerin soaps (which does not contain any detergents, sulfates, alcohol, or sugar solutions), everything is formulated with pure, natural ingredients. All of my products are made in small quantities to retain their integrity. I prefer using paraben and formaldehyde-free preservatives and only when necessary.

I love the feeling of being in control of the ingredients I put on my body, not to mention knowing exactly what I am exposing myself (and my family) to. Even as a teenager I enjoyed whipping up homemade recipes out of YM Magazine for egg white facials or mashed banana and avocado hair treatments. It was only natural that I would stumble upon soapmaking as a creative outlet a decade ago. Soapmaking has truly become a rewarding craft to express myself. I put a lot of thought and research into each and every batch. All of my creations are inspired by the materials. I often create soap based on one single ingredient and it grows from there. I also really enjoy building recipes based on my personal skin care needs. Whatever it may be, something inspires me and I can’t stop thinking about it until I produce it.

SPECIAL NOTE: I just want to thank my family, friends and all my guineas at work (you all know who you are:)) for letting me talk endlessly (and rather obsessively) about my soap ideas, giving great feedback and testing out my products. If it wasn't for your support and encouragement I probably never would have opened this shop. Hope you continue to enjoy what I have to offer!

Additional policies and FAQs

PRODUCT SHELF LIFE: One (1) year from date of purchase. Best if used within six (6) months of purchase. Since many of my products do not contain preservatives they have a shorter life span. It is sad but true that all things have a life cycle, regardless of what we try to control.

ESSENTIAL OIL SAFETY: All of the essential oils used in my skin care products are pure therapeutic grade oils. I only purchase from reputable companies that can ensure the safety of their products in regards to production and use. They are properly labeled citing the common and botanical name, the part of the plant used, the country of origin, and the extraction process. I always follow the recommended usage rates based on application. A lot of my time goes into researching and understanding these oils before using them in applications. It is important to note that certain essential oils should be avoided by children, elderly, pregnant women and those with certain health conditions like high blood pressure or epilepsy. For your safety, please do your research and always consult with your health care professional prior to using any of my products containing essential oils.

SOAP SAVERS: All of my soaps retain their natural glycerin, which is a humectant. Humectants attract water, meaning good for your skin, but bad for the soap. When it sits in water the soap breaks down more quickly. Therefore, to get the most out of your bar, rest it a soap dish between each use so it will stay dry and last longer.

SUPERFAT SOAP: All of my cold process soaps are superfatted to at least 5%. That is just a fancy way of saying that I add more oil than is necessary for a complete saponification (the chemical reaction of sodium hydroxide, water and fats resulting in soap) to ensure a mild cleansing bar.

*Colors and scents may fade or change over time or with exposure to direct sunlight. Best if stored in a cool, dry, dark place until use.

*Discontinue use if any irritation or sensitivity occurs.

*Products are not intended for internal use.

*Keep products out of reach of children.

*Avoid getting product(s) into eyes.

Custom orders are always welcome. Cold process soap orders take 4-6 weeks, plus shipping time. Most everything else can be completed within 24-48 hours as long as the necessary supplies are in stock. If not, then the processing time can be up to 1-2 weeks. Just send me an email with your desires, ideas and/or needs and I will work to meet them.
