Announcement   JAPANESE SECTION
Vintage unused Japanese Kimono material. obis and bolts in cotton, silk and finest wool. Antique Japanese prints by Hiroshigei plus original Japanese woodblock prints.

ABORIGINAL & AUSTRALIAN ART SECTION
I have just opened a new shop section, listing artworks for an Aboriginal friend Lorraine Williams and Australian landscapes done by myself

Lorraine is an internationally selling and exhibiting artist who is a Wiradjuri woman born in Narrandera NSW. She has a passion for her culture and the native animals that are so important to her people. Browse through as I add her works!! She is a very talented person indeed.

Other cultures fascinate me with the beauty human beings can express in art, textiles and jewellery. I am a collector and an artist, a trader and a buyer. I enjoy working with others in the creative dance that is life.

I paint, make fibre art, make jewellery, bake, and grow our own food. Not bad for a retired woman; I had much more time on my hands when I was working......

We live on an isolated farm and vinyard in a stunning part of the world. many of my landscapes reflect the beauty of my surroundings.
For almost ten years I have had online shops which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have chosen Etsy because of its ethics towards both buyers and sellers and its emphasis on creativity and values as opposed to ....well, mass produced junk!

My shop has just started so please check in from time to time, have a chat and hopefully watch me grow!

About

Life in the Australian Bush

I have been making and selling art for ten years now since I retired.
I love colour, form and function as well as metals, fabrics, gemstones, vintage china, you name it.

I recycle, upcycle, renew and reuse as well as sometimes using fresh new materials. Cultures and their art fascinate me and I have many vintage Indian, Japanese and European fabrics. I love travel and my friends, dogs, sheep, alpacas and my dearest partner who owns the farm and vinyard where we live.

We grow most of our own food and I never really get bored, that's for sure. I also sell eggs and produce at local markets along with my handmade goods.

The interaction of Etsy is great as we are quite isolated here at the foot of the Snowy Mountains and the phone system is not great; even the computer is via stttelite!

I am a very lucky person and love what I do.
