I sent this item directly to my friends as a wedding present but I want to mention how wonderful the shop was in the purchasing process! I immediately got a wonderful message after my purchase and the owner sent me a picture of the pot in the box with a cute note right before she dropped it in the mail! I would definitely recommend working with CenteredVessel!

About

Grounded, centered, rooted

Pottery is a part-time labor of love for me. In other parts of my life I am an archaeologist, a gardener, and a student of yoga. Along with pottery, these passions ground me to the earth, center me within myself, and connect me to a deep human history of craft production. It is only when I am centered and grounded that I am my best as a partner, a mother, and a teacher.

I work in stoneware, which is solid and strong. I throw with white clay, fired to cone 6 (2232° F, 1222° C) in my home studio in western Massachusetts. My work is glazed mainly with earth tones, and highlighted with blues, greens, and metallic copper. All glazes are food-safe, lead-free, and can be put in the microwave and dishwasher.

I love to see my pottery functioning in the world! It is meant to be used, and loved, as I have loved making it.
