Nature inspired prints and lampshades by Stroud based illustrator and designer/maker, Ceridwen Hazelchild.

Designed and handmade in her Nailsworth studio, and inspired by the Cotswolds hills and surrounding British countryside, Ceridwen Hazelchild Design specialises in eco-friendly, giftable homewares and lighting.

Ceridwen’s homewares feature her whimsical woodland animal illustrations and botanical patterns, making these handmade lampshades and wall art perfect for bringing a little folktale magic to a woodland nursery and kids bedroom.

Growing up among a travelling community, Ceridwen Hazelchild developed a keen interest the beauty of rural Britain, folk tales, and the importance of caring for the world around us. After completing her degree in Contemporary Fine Art Practices from Dartington College of Arts and University College Falmouth in 2011, Ceridwen began to focus on craft based artworks which had a practical function and embodied the values that were important to her. Her hand drawn illustrations were pressed in her studio using a her trusty Heat Press, and she set about carefully stitching pencil cases, lavender bags and pouches on her Singer sewing machine. What began as a small collection of illustrated cotton tote bags aimed at reducing plastic bag usage, soon evolved into Ceridwen Hazelchild Design, which supplied handmade homewares and gifts to happy customers across the world.

    Owner, Maker, Designer

Hello! I'm Ceridwen, the designer and maker behind Ceridwen Hazelchild Design. I work from my home studio in Nailsworth, surrounded by the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

Production partners

  • Fine Art Printers

    Farnham, England

I work with our printers to create beautiful quality, long-lasting Giclee Art Prints which capture the colour and details of my original artworks.

  • Textile Printers

    Rickmansworth, England

I print most of my fabric in my studio but size limitations mean I sometimes need a little help. For some of my larger pieces, I work closely with a printing company to digitally print my designs onto rolls of fabric, which I then sew in my studio.
