About

Insert cryptic and interesting title here.....

I opened my little Etsy shop in the summer of 2011 and initially sold slave bracelets, anklets and body chains. I absolutely loved every second of designing and making them, but I like diversity and I soon started to get a little frustrated by the limitations of just selling one type of thing. So I started adding little rings, then little rings with gems in them, then a few bracelets then some necklaces and earrings.................and so my shop evolved!

I can't explain quite how I fell in love with jewellery making, it just happened, literally over night (quite the opposite to how I fell in love with my husband ; )) There I was one day trying to convince myself that this beautiful little necklace I had seen in a shop window in Crete was worth the money, and then the very next day I decided I would make it myself.

Needless to say that first attempt didn't quite work out as I had hoped (hmm, there's more to this jewellery making lark than I had assumed!) but I never looked back and here I am, five years later having learnt the necessary skills to make about........um..........a whole 10% of what I can imagine! But this is what I love about it. There's is always more to learn, always new things to imagine and experiment with. It never gets boring and it's never the same (well, except when I have 8 orders for the same ring ; )) But I hope you know what I mean!

I make the majority of my pieces using a technique called fusing. Fusing requires no solder and no flux, simply the carefully controlled heat of a flame to "melt" the metal to itself and create a bond purer and stronger than any solder joint. I use it with fine (pure) silver, sometimes sterling silver and all karats of gold. As such, most of my metal pieces are quite minimalistic and organic in feel. But I also love making more intricate jewellery and often wire wrap, crochet, weave, knot.......and occasionally solder.....to keep things interesting!

I hope you enjoy looking through my shop and I hope you find something that you love as much as I loved creating it!

......nope, can't think of one.

Shipping
**All items ship from the UK**
Once I have received your order I will dispatch your item within the time frame stated (just above the item's shipping prices). Very occasionally it will take longer, eg. for a very specific custom item, in which case I will ALWAYS contact you and let you know the time frame, giving you the option to cancel your order if you are unable to wait.

Unless otherwise stated, or requested by you, I send my items (over £25) tracked and insured. The method I use is Royal Mail "International Signed For". This will require a signature at your end. Their aim is to deliver within 5 working days, however some countries (especially the USA) have very stringent checks on all packages received from abroad, so they can be delayed when they reach your end. Please be aware that it is possible for your item to take up to 25 working days to reach you.

UK customers can expect to receive their items the next day after dispatch as I send either 1st class recorded, or via "Special Delivery".

**Please note that buyers are responsible for any duties and customs charges that may be incurred by their country.**
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with your item for any reason, please contact me within 7 days of receipt. My aim is to make all my customers happy. Unless it is a custom order*, I will refund / exchange your item - all I ask is that you send the original back to me within 28 days of receipt, via registered mail in its original/unworn condition (you will be responsible for the return shipping costs). Once I have received the item back I will refund you the full item price and the original postage costs.
*If it is a custom order and faulty, I will of course also replace / refund. Otherwise, I'm afraid I cannot 'always' accept straight returns.......but please do still contact me so that we can try to sort something out.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Q. Do you ever accept returns on personalised/customised items?
A. Although I can't always accept returns/exchanges on customised or personalised orders, if you have an issue with your order, please do still contact me so that we can try to sort something out.

Sizing details

Q. What happens if I order something and it's the wrong size?
A. If you are a UK customer, in most cases I will happily resize it for you for no charge (although you will be responsible for postage costs). However, if you are an international customer, it might be quicker, easier and less expensive to get it resized at a local jeweller. Please contact me and we can discuss the best option for you.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Q. Do you offer gift wrapping?
A. All of my jewellery comes beautifully packaged as standard (normally in a little box, with the exception of just a few pieces which come in a pretty little bag) ready to give as a gift.
