Announcement   Hi I'm Jerry Penner, The Chain Mail Guy. I've been making wire and metal art for over 20 years. Articles created by the Chain Mail Guy are of the highest quality. I make my own rings because I can't find anyone who can provide me with a consistent high-quality ring that won't scratch, pinch, or pull hair. My rings are cut so well you won't feel a burr around the face of any ring, nor will you see light through the join.

My garden art is made from rescued material. Instead of sending scrap metal to a metal dealer who sends it to a mill who melts it and forms it into new raw material to be made into new things, why not short-circuit the process and make new things out of old things? Let's recycle more efficiently.

If you don't see what you're looking for, describe it and I'll offer suggestions and quote price and delivery for you. If you can dream it in cloth, I can knit it in chain.

PLEASE NOTE: If you see images in my Etsy shop that look very much like images on Amazon or Alibaba, be aware those vendors are using my images without my consent and are in violation of copyright law. BUYER BEWARE! Other sites using my images are misrepresenting the quality of what they sell. With sellers who violate image copyright, you DO NOT get what you pay for.

About

Authentic Armour - Cool Club Clothing - Gorgeous Jewelry.

Way back in 1996 I was out of a job, out of money, and looking for something to do when I happened across a re-run of "Mad Max - Beyond Thunderdome" on TV. I saw Tina Turner's dress as Aunty Entity in that movie and said to myself, 'Hey! I can do that!'. So I went to the basement, turned some wire into rings, threw them on the floor and stared at them until the pattern popped out.

When I started showing my wares people asked me where I got my rings from. When they found out I made them they wanted to buy the rings for making their own projects. Now I offer other knitters some of the best rings on the Internet so they can focus on creating cool stuff instead of making rings.

Chain mail is not as lucrative or profitable as you might think. To supplement my sales I started carrying silver jewelry and making wire art in silver. I'm no professional jeweller but I can make wire art and perform basic repairs on silver. Sometimes I'll take two or more broken bits and mash them up into something new. There's no telling what might come out the other end of the process.

I promised myself I'd quit when it wasn't fun anymore. I'm still here!

Greetings!

Shipping prices for most of my wares are $4.00 for the first item, free for the second. Canada Post is going to raise its rates as of Jan. 1 and I will have to do the same. Basic shipping fees for my shop will rise from $4.00 to $5.00. This will not cover all of the costs of shipping, I'll still be supplementing the shipping cost.

Thanks,

Jerry Penner

If what you received is not what you ordered (wrong size, wrong item(s), wrong style, missing item(s)), please contact me and let me know. I'll do what is necessary to make things right.

Order Not as Expected
I make every effort to accurately represent the item(s) you are buying. If you are simply not happy with your order, please contact me for return instructions. You can return your order for credit towards other items. No Refunds. Returned items will be charged a 25% restocking fee. Items shipped to you under exchange will be charged a flat shipping fee of $16.00 CDN.

Shipping
Shipping is via Canada Post Light Packet or Expedited Parcel. Within Canada, delivery is 3 - 6 business days, delivery to the USA is about 6 - 12 business days, other international destinations are up to 30 business days.

Customs, Taxes and Duties
These will be added to your order by the Customs Agency of your country if you live outside Canada and you will be required to pay them when you pick up your order. These charges vary from country to country and item to item. I wish they didn't exist, but they do. While I'll do what we can to minimize these charges from here, the Customs rules seem to always be changing and they are difficult to keep up with.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom Orders
Once we've worked out the details for your custom order I'll need a 25% non-refundable deposit to begin work on your special item. Balance is due upon completion of the work, and must be sent before the order is shipped.

Unclaimed Orders
Every effort will be made to contact you once your special order item is completed. If for some reason I am unable to contact you, the custom order will be held for you for 90 days from the date of completion. If the order is not paid in full by then, you lose your deposit and it goes into my regular stock of items to be sold for the balance owing. If it cannot be sold, it will be taken apart and used for other items.
