Announcement   Chakwaina’s Creations produces high quality, reasonably priced Native American Arts & Crafts & Botanicals to include: jewelry (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklets), beadwork, leather bags, cloth regalia (Ribbon Shirts, Ribbon Dresses, leggings). From time to time we will offer supplies & unfinished items for you to buy and apply your own artistic hand to.
Botanicals offered, when available, include catnip, various other mints, mullein, wild lettuce, sages, cedar and many others. All are either wild crafted from the property surrounding my home or grown by myself.
Chakwaina (pronounced tsaa kwaina) is a proud member of the Waccamaw Indian People of South Carolina. She has also been certified by the Tribal Arts & Crafts Committee-certification #301-111-09. The Tribe may be contacted at http://waccamawindians.us or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/WaccamawIndianPeople
Chakwaina takes great pride in all she does. Handcrafted items are never, ever to perfection but she does try to get there. This is part of the charm of handcrafted items.
Chakwaina does items as Spirit leads her to. She is mostly self taught and has learned much from doing and then seeing the design error.
You can fan Chakwaina’s Creations on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ChakwainasCreations
Shipping is via USPS Priority Flat Rate, Delivery Confirmation, Insured. This is least expensive for me (I do live in the middle of nowhere-it does exist). Requirements for Delivery Confirmation & Insurance protects both of us.
Chakwaina does consider & do special requests, so please Convo me. If you plan to order more than one item, shipping can be combined, please Convo me with what items you wish to purchase & I will create a special listing just for you, combining shipping costs.

About

Seeking self-actualization & nirvana by being true to myself.

While on an extended leave from work to care for my ailing husband & 2 other family members, Chakwaina decided to try her hand at selling her handiwork. Chakwaina is best known for her jewelry & cloth regalia.
Crafting is the soul release for Chakwaina. It is the one thing that gives her a time of pure creativity and mindless thought. It is a wonderful way to pass the Traditions of yesterday down, keeping them alive, yet to create the Traditions of tomorrow.
Chakwaina is passionate about the Rights of Indigenous People but especially her own, the American Indian. She loves to educate people about the truth of the history between the Europeans & Original Inhabitants of America. Even more, she loves to speak with the American Indian Elders to learn the Truth and Traditions and Culture to continue to preserve it all before it is lost forever.
When Chakwaina is not crafting, you will find her in the kitchen creating there, or doing the needed things around her small homestead. You will also find at least some of her grandchildren around the place most times or friends or other family. She also enjoys horseback riding and sitting on the front porch with her beau enjoying a beautiful Tennessee sunset or sunrise and a cup of coffee.
