Solid Silver question mark cast from antique letterpress type. 'Last but one' shown here went out in the post today so just one left till I re-cast! I love the simplicity of this little necklace. Pure poetry.
Happy International Day of Happiness & first day of Spring. Here's to the place that keeps me happy!

The Blue Planet. It was mid winter & I was rather blue when I flame painted this particular sheet of Copper. But alas, it's gorgeous & I can't be blue looking at it.

About

Beautiful pieces of history..

Meet Mr Tortoise. I found him in a reject pile in Sri Lanka because he had a defective shell. I promptly adopted him, and gave him a 'Steampunk' shell. He was so popular that I made a mould of him so others can enjoy their own defective little Steampunk pet.

Most of my pieces are made from found objects which are old and unwanted. My line of Steampunk jewellery began with a pile of old watch and clock parts which got caught in the 2004 Tsunami, courtesy of my Dad. He owns a shop in southern Sri Lanka which was badly damaged. There is so much joy in turning such a tragedy into beautiful pieces of history.

I offer an extensive range of personalised accessories for men. These started with a pair of personalised cuff links I made as a surprise for my husband-to-be on our wedding day several years ago. They were so loved that I introduced several designs online which have been extremely popular. These, along with matching custom tie bars, are currently my best sellers.

Prior to being a Designer/Maker, I was an experimental researcher in Engineering – and I think this comes across in my jewellery – both in the mechanical bits & bobs I recycle, and in my range of media - I love a challenge when it comes to turning junk into wonderful things you will adore. I also love it when things are beautiful, functional and personal!

Each piece here is unique, and my lines are transient, like my name, Chanchala, which means ‘ever changing’.

Shipping / delivery estimate

These are the statements by Royal Mail regarding their delivery aims & generally I have found these to be true:

UK: 1 - 2 working days;

Europe: 3 - 5 working days;

USA: 5 - 7 working days;

Worldwide (incl. Canada, Australia): 1 - 2 weeks;
