The living gemstone.
When I was a little one, my family often went to the rugged, awe-inspiring beaches of Northern California. My brother, Dennis, and I would play and play in the surf, but when our tiny toes got too cold, we turned our attention to the sand and the rocks. There, we found an entire microcosm of small, gorgeous pebbles of all colors, hues, shades, shapes, and sizes. We were especially thrilled when we found heart-shaped stones, which we would promptly give to our Momma. The discovery of a wishing stone was another great joy. For us, a wishing stone was one that had an unbroken band of white granite all the way around it - sometimes two unbroken bands! We wished upon our stones and then put them in our pockets to take home.
My love of stones was born during these great adventures to the sea! I will add that Dennis, too, has the same life long love of stones. Both of us, to this day, still have many of those heart-shaped stones, our wishing stones, and our little pebbles of carnelian and lapis.
I believe that stones carry the wisdom of the ages and the power that comes with such ancient wisdom. When I was in a college archaeology class, the professor asked rhetorically, "are rocks living?" While the whole class shook their heads, "no," I enthusiastically blurted out "yes!" Sure, it was a bit embarrassing, but for me, gemstones ARE alive.
During my creative process, I don't plan out or sketch my designs. I don't match my gemstones to a color chart or to standardized design elements. Instead, when I work with gemstones, I listen. My stones will tell me whether or not they should be with another stone or a particular metal. They'll let me know if it's a harmonious combination or not. And, as I move a project toward completion, the gemstones will let me know what type of energy the final piece carries.
I draw on the ancient chakra system because it helps me to express my intuitive process and the wisdom I receive from the gemstones. My chakra necklaces best exemplify this (see my section: "chakra jewelry") and read the information in the description for a better understanding.
I feel honored and blessed that I've had so many clients who have entrusted me to make custom pieces for them based on their needs, oftentimes, very personal. I've worked with survivors of all kinds and they are courageous, brave women who are willing to be open and explore the wisdom and energy of one of God's greatest gifts, the healing power of natural gemstones.

CANADIAN CUSTOMERS: My experience with shipping to Canada, especially Ontario, is that it takes forever! Well, not forever, but typically 3 - 4 weeks. This holds whether I ship first class or priority mail. I have a friend who works at the United States Postal Service, my carrier of choice, and she says it's because packages get tied up at customs for long periods of time. I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS and I don't like it any better than you. At the top of my "to do" list is looking into FedEx and UPS to see if I can find a more expedient, yet inexpensive, service to Canada. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please share!

Additional policies and FAQs
I do not accept returns on custom orders unless there is a gross error on my part or the item is damaged during shipping. Custom orders are made for you and you only; rarely, can I re-sell them. If you need to back out the custom order any time during the process, I am a-okay with that.
We WELCOME wholesale opportunities, so please convo us! The Yoga Jewelry Shop has a 12 piece minimum order.
We do not consign our jewelry. Unfortunately, we have been robbed 3 times now with consignment "opportunities"; e.g., work out terms, send my work, sign contracts, and never see a dime or hear from them again (they disappear). These people, two of which found me on Etsy, have ruined this option. Other vendors, I urge you to be cautious.
We are kind, respectful people who are easy to work with as long as clear, open communication is taking place!
