Chaos Into Art

Chaos Into Art was started by me, Jessica, a thirty-one year old from Long Island, New York. Since I can remember, I’ve been creating things out of every medium I could get my hands on… colorful string, beads, lanyard, paper, clay, Legos, Play-Dough, you name it. Out of all the mediums I've dabbled with over the years, jewelry has been the one I have found to be the best fit for me. It allows me to be creative, use vintage pieces, and make something unique that someone can wear to show off their personality through the jewelry. I’ve been making jewelry on and off for many years, until finally taking the plunge into starting my own company in 2006. I’m always thinking of new ideas and finding inspiration from everywhere imaginable (and I mean everywhere).

I enjoy and am passionate about many things. Besides making jewelry, I love to travel, art in every shape & form, am an avid music lover and reader, a foodie, enjoy acting, comedy, and fashion. I love new experiences, and am constantly looking to travel to new places to find something new to try.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me :)

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
Returns are on a case-to-case basis. If you are extremely unhappy with an item, or feel that it is not what was shown or described, contact me immediately. You have 7 days from when you receive an item to contact me about a return. Item must be returned in unworn, mint condition. You are responsible for return shipping unless it is my error.
Paypal only.
All items are shipped from New York, and will be sent out within 2-3 business days of payment. Items will not be shipped until payment is received.

I ship via USPS (United States Postal Service). Shipping to the U.S. should not take more than a week. If shipping overseas, please allow extra time for the package to arrive, sometimes several weeks, depending on where it's being shipped to.

I am not responsible for missing items in the mail. Insurance is always suggested, but will incur an additional cost. If you would like to add insurance to your purchase, please contact me so I can quote you the price of this.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you are questioning why I don't have as many sales on Etsy, it is because I sold my jewelry through my website directly until recently, when I decided to use Etsy exclusively for on-line sales. Please feel confident in placing an order, as I had plenty of positive feedback through my eCommerce site.

Necklaces - Unless otherwise stated, all necklaces are measured from the clasp to the end of the chain (which is the center). For a measurement from end-to-end, just double the number.
Bracelets - Unless otherwise stated, all bracelets are measured from end-to-end.

Keep in mind that vintage items are not perfect. They are not meant to be. I do not polish these items to take away the beautiful wear that each piece has from natural aging. Some pieces may have some rust stains, tarnishing, etc. Some pieces may be vintage, but look new. I keep them as I find them. I try to take pictures that show these details.

A lot of the pieces are vintage, and getting them wet will just cause more tarnishing and rust. As far as beaded pieces go, some beads may be fine, while others (usually the plastic beads) are known to lose color after multiple times exposed to water. Just to be safe, I recommend taking all jewelry off before showering.

If you're interested in a custom order, contact me and I'll see if I can fulfill your request for you!
