Shop policies

Hi all! It's May 2010, and I've done a major overhaul of my store and policies.
I now ship all watch parts in translucent plastic containers, with all bulk orders of a quarter pound and up with a tamper evident seal on the container. I now also accept exchanges/return/refunds for certain items, under certain conditions. International Shipping (and Domestic) has gone up. All larger orders will also have higher prices not only to cover the cost of the new packaging and seals, but all higher value orders now also will have some type of tracking, this includes International orders.

As new types of listings are being added (new assortments of parts, individual part listings) new policies will be added.

Welcome, this is my -supplies/destash- store. Some of the items I sell in here I can supply in bulk! Two specifically are the watch parts/gear mixes and mini bottles. Both of which I can supply in just about any quantity, just ask!
If an item is OOAK, or limited to what's on hand, I'll try to mention in the listing.

The majority of the items in this store (chaoticsupplies.etsy.com) are commercial (with the occasional handmade) supplies and destash.
Everything is sold as is, and if you have any questions about an item, please contact me before hand. I will answer as much about the item(s) as I can. If you are not 100% sure on buying something, please contact me before you buy anything. I am always happy to talk it out, and make sure you not only know, what you're buying, but that it's what you needed/wanted to buy. If you're hesitant about buying bulk watch parts because you want to know exactly what's in the current lots of parts, please please feel free to contact me and ask for photos I may have of the most recent parts. I can't guarantee I will have any, but I am trying to take a few photos of each lot of parts that passes me.

If you only want specific parts, please contact me first about getting a special mix. I will NOT give you a custom mix if you buy a regular listing, unless it was already agreed upon. I am willing to do custom mixes, of most any kind!

Pre-Order Bulk Parts Listing Policies-
Includes: Regular & Small Stuff Bulk Watch Parts Quarter Pound and up (1/4# & up)
Here's how pre-orders go.
You place the order with me, complete your transaction, and pay for your item.
The moment your payment is complete, I process your order by first, placing the order with one of my suppliers.
They pick it, pack it and send it to me.
When I get the parts, I do three checks for quality. First by making sure there are no non-watch parts/etc in it and if there are, replacing the offending non-parts with an equal weight of parts.
The second, by checking the weight, making sure it's the correct weight for what was ordered, and if it's light, adding extra parts.
The third check is to make sure that the parts are consistent. For example, if there's not alot of one type of part (like, say, gears), I'll take out a few parts there may be too many of and replace them with other parts there may not be as many of. This ensures you get a good mix, and not just mostly one type of part.
Once I've finished the quality check, I package it up, and mail it to you.
So, if you forget to pay, my suppliers are backlogged, the postal system takes a bit longer or one of a craplod of other things, it can add a little extra time to your order.
When you place a Pre-Order, I will contact you within five days with an estimated time of shipping for your parts (once I know what supplier I'm ordering if from)

All Pre-Orders are sent via Priority Domestically, and either via Priority or First Class with Extra Services Internationally, so it can be tracked. Yes, that makes it a tad more expensive for International Shipping, but this assures that your parts do get to you, and in a way that can be tracked.

--Special Return/Refund/Exchange Policies--

-for Bulk Watch Parts Bought at Retail Pricing
Items included: Bulk Parts of .25lb, .5lb & 1lb & Regular Gear Lots Valued at $40+
All bulk parts of these type and sold at -retail- pricing now come in translucent containers (see through) with have tamper evident seals on them. If you wish to exchange or return/want a refund on your parts, the tamper seal MUST NOT be broken. If the tamper seal is broken, or tampered with, I reserve the right to refuse any type of return, refund or exchange.

If you send an item back, and the seal is tampered with, I will contact you, then-
With Exchanges- I will return the original item back to you.
With Returns/Refunds- You can send me half the cost of the return shipping, and I will cover the other half of shipping and send the original item back to you.

If it's not obvious yet, if the seal is tampered with, don't try to return it.

Options for Exchanges:
The very first thing, you need to make sure that the tamper seal has NOT been opened, if it has, it's void, and I will not exchange it.
If you want to exchange your bulk parts, send me an email (chaotichelp@gmail) within 4 days of receiving your parts and let me know what's up.
Once you've contacted me, and verified you want to make an exchange, I'll provide the address to return it to.
You send it back (with some form of tracking, bare minimum- delivery confirmation) also making sure there's return shipping in with the item, with exchanges, you pay for return shipping both ways. Why? The majority of the cost of the item goes to pay the suppliers for it, which means that I don't make much off of them, and therefore cannot afford to cover extra shipping sending items back and forth on a whim.
I only allow one exchange per item. I don't mind exchanging out items, I can even make sure to photograph the new replacement item, to make sure it's what you want.

Returns/Refunds:
The very first thing, you need to make sure that the tamper seal has NOT been opened, if it has, it's void, and I will not accept it.
If you are unsatisfied with a bulk parts lot, contact me within 4 days of receiving your package. You'll need to contact me via email (chaotichelp@gmail) with your name, address, order # and date you bought the item.
Once I verify your information, I will send you a pre-paid mailing label.
Using the special return label, you return the parts in their unopened package (with safety labels intact).
Refunds/Exchanges are not processed until the original item is back in my possession and the tamper seal checked for tampering.
Your options for returns and/or refunds of qualifying items:
Option #1) A store credit of 75% of the original item cost (sale price if it was on sale; does not include shipping)
or
Option #2) A refund of 35%.
Why do I only offer a 35% refund? Because the majority of the price of pre-order bulk parts goes to ordering them from my suppliers. Since I have to spend most of it to order the parts, then have them shipped to me, take care of packaging, tamper seals and things like that, I cannot refund it to you. It's as simple as that.

Once the parts are back in my possession, I will either send you your refund back the way I got it (if it was via PayPal, you'll get it back via PayPal, Google Checkout, it will go back on your card, check/MO, I'll send a refund back via MO certified mail) or email you that I have received the parts, and let you know your store credit amount. Store credit can be used most anywhere I sell, Etsy, Artfire, My websites & etc (I do not allow store credit for any ebay listings)
Payment
Payment is due in full up front,.
I do not ship anything out without full payment beforehand.
If you pay with an E-Check via PayPal, I will not ship until your payment has cleared.
There are NO exceptions to this.

Pre-Orders MUST be payed for IN FULL before the order will start to go through. This means that for all bulk orders not on hand (watch parts .25#+ & not in stock mini bottles) will not be processed until I have full payment.

Layaway Terms-
Layaway is only available on orders over $75. You MUST contact me to ask for layaway, if you do not, I will assume you're making full payment for your order. There is a $2 charge each month added to each payment (This helps cover the additional fees I accrue for the additional payments)
$75-100 - 30% due up front, and then paid off within 2 months.
$100-250 - 30% due up front, with minimum payments of $50/month paid off within 6 months.
$250+ - Please convo me for arrangements
If I do not hear from you or receive a payment for a month (30 days), I reserve the right to relist the items, but I will always do my best to get ahold of you.

If you would like to work something else out, please ask, I'm very flexible! ;)
Shipping
I will NOT ship to an address not listed as your PayPal address unless you pay for Return Receipt & Restricted Delivery, which does require YOUR signature, no exceptions.
This means if your Etsy and PayPal addresses do not match, I will be contacting you via email, specificlly the one listed with your PayPal account to verify the shipping address.

International (outside the USA)-
If your order totals over $100, I will ship is securely
All Bulk Parts Listings (.25#+) and shipped Internationally are either shipped First Class with Registered Mail OR Priority with Insurance, which ever is cheaper. This ensures that you will be able to track your package. If you do not want to pay the extra to have Registered Mail or Priority, and only want your item shipped as cheaply as possible, please contact me, and I will post a special listing for you. If your shipping does not include regular Priority or Registered Mail, you will not be able to track your package.

The customs forms for International packages will be marked as "Other" with "Watch Parts" or "Broken Watch Parts" as the item.
I will not mark International packages as 'Gift', as it's not a gift.

I ship on Tuesdays or Thursdays, & if I have the ability, I occasionally ship other weekdays as well. If you buy something and want it shipped out immediately, please contact me before you order. If you need your order expedited, please contact me BEFORE you order.

First Class International doesn't usually have any type of tracking.

If you are worried about your package in the mail, I recommend Registered Mail.
Domestic Registered Mail Rate-
up to $100 is $12, over $100 is $14
International Registered Mail Rate- is a flat $12
This can be added to any First Class or Priority mail (except flat rate envelopes).

I do offer wholesale and branded packaging for certain items, so please feel free to inquire! I also give quantity discounts, again, just ask!

Most of the items I sell I can supply in bulk, though there are items (destash, OOAK) that I only have what's on hand, and that's it.

Please make sure when paying with PayPal, that you have a correct address in your PayPal account, and that it's the same as the one you have listed with Etsy, so I know I am shipping it to the correct address.
I will only ship orders with payments via PayPal to the address listed in PAYPAL.
I cross check it with the one you have listed with Etsy, but please make sure your address listed with your PayPal account is correct. If the addresses are different, I will confirm your address with you if they don't match, and I will not send until I hear from you. If I need to confirm your shipping address, I will contact you via the email address you have listed with your PayPal account. I will not contact you via Etsy or the email address listed with Etsy (unless it's the same as your PayPal one).
This is an extra check I do to make sure that you are the person ordering, and that it's not a fraudulent order.

If you want your items shipped to a different address than what is listed in PayPal, It's an extra $10, to cover Return Receipt & Restricted Delivery, which does require YOUR signature.

Free shipping offers are for the least expensive method unless otherwise stated. (usually, First Class, occasionally Priority)

If you haven't received you item within two weeks, please let me know, as it's probably a problem with the mail.
Pre-Orders can take a little bit longer. Usually I'll say about 2 weeks, but it can be faster, or even take up to a month, but doesn't usually take that long.

I reserve the right to refuse service. If I refuse you service, I will refund your money, send you a convo why and cancel the transaction.
