About CharlenesEmbroidery

Machine embroidered - tea towels, hooded baby towels, and fuzzy baby blankets.

I started my embroidery business soon after I left my career in human resources. I helped embroider logos on bags for the local hospice society. I instantly became hooked. I purchased my first embroidery machine that day. I started with embroidering designs on canvas bags, which I made. I sold them the following summer at the farmers' markets where I live. The following year I added tea towels. Each year I try to add some different items to my collection and delete some that are not working for me.

I was born in Southern California, but I moved 46 years ago, first to West then to Bozeman. Now I live and work in the wonderful and scenic town of Bozeman, Montana. The town boast’s a college (Montana State University) and three ski areas within 50 miles of the surrounding area – Bridger (the closest), Big Sky and Moonlight Basin (both are located near the smaller town of Big Sky above the beautiful Gallatin Canyon.)

My first embroidery attempts were when I was a child. I left it behind as I grew up and didn't pick it up until leaving my job of 26 years. At that time, I returned to my passion - embroidering, only this time it was machine embroidery.
