My passion for entrepreneurship inspired my Etsy stop.

I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. In 2009, I opened my own bookstore, but by 2012, I was ready to sell and make a fresh start on something new. Then a customer of mine told me about Etsy, so I decided to give it a shot.

Ever since I was a kid, I loved jewelry, especially sterling silver. And I figured, what better gift to give someone than a personalized piece of jewelry that they can wear close to their heart. So now I work from my home office putting together everything from simple charm necklaces to personalized hand stamped initial or quote jewelry to unique bookmarks (because I couldn't let go of the reader in me!).

But the true passion behind my shop is entrepreneurship. I love growing my own business and being a part of a passion-focused generation. That's why I now have a 3 Etsy jewelry shops: charmphilosophy, cppewter and charmphilosophygifts! I'm lucky to make an excellent full-time income through Etsy with only a self-taught business education and a college diploma from a writing program.

Hopefully my story will inspire others to leave their cubicles behind and pursue their passions. I was fortunate to learn very early on in life that nothing is impossible or out of reach. All it takes is a willingness to learn, take risks and work hard. And if you love what you do, you'll never work another day in your life.

Welcome to our policies page!

PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING: we are still working and shipping orders, and mail still seems to be moving. However, due to the coronavirus, your order will likely be delayed as mail delivery companies are busier than ever and understaffed. Because of this, we will not be offering reshipments or refunds at this time if your mail gets stopped/lost. Please keep that in mind when purchasing. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

If you have any special requests, requirements or alterations you'd like to make to any of our pieces, please send us a convo. If we have the supplies, we'll do our best to bring your vision to life!

In case you are unsatisfied, please let us know before leaving neutral or negative feedback and we'll do our best to address the problem.

RETURNS

You can return an item within 30 days of purchase for a refund of the purchase price, less shipping. After that, we unfortunately consider it "used." Shipping fees are non-refundable. Please return the UNWORN/UNUSED item in its original packaging. The cost of return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.

NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS: earrings, bracelets and anklets as they are custom cut, items with personalized handstamped initials, names or quotes, used jewelry boxes* or shipping fees.

*If you have used your jewelry box, but would still like to return it, you may do so within 30 days. However, please inspect it for marks or any signs of use before sending it back. We will not be able to resell a jewelry box with ANY signs of use (even tiny ones), and therefore will not be able to issue a refund.

EXCHANGES

We do offer exchanges within 30 days of purchase as long as the piece is returned unworn in its original packaging. We will need to charge you an additional shipping fee to send the product back to you.

If you pay with an eCheck, please allow up to 7 days for the check to clear. Your mailing address does not become available to Etsy sellers until the check has cleared, so we cannot ship early.
Shipping
We ship out from Vancouver, Canada. We ship twice a week -- usually Tuesdays and Fridays -- please allow 1-3 days for packaging.

- Arrival Time: 5-10 days on average from the shipping date

PRIORITY SHIPPING
We offer priority shipping to buyers in Canada and the USA. You can select this shipping option at checkout. Please note that the shipping times are the average not guaranteed as there may be delays with USPS and Canada Post that we cannot control.

WRONG ADDRESS: The buyer is responsible for providing the correct shipping address. We will not reship or refund orders that were shipped to the wrong address for this reason.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS FEES: The buyer is responsible for all additional fees that may be charged at customs. If you refuse to pick up your parcel because you do not want to pay the customs fees, WE WILL NOT REFUND YOU for your order. We are charged high fees on our end for international orders (UK and Australia) that are returned to us. Please check with your post office to find out how much you're allowed to spend overseas without having to pay customs fees. We will not lie on the parcel to say that it is worth less than it is.

REROUTED PARCELS: If the tracking shows that your parcel has been rerouted back to us, we can refund or reship once we have received the parcel. Please note, rerouted parcels have been known to take anywhere from 1-6 months as they are delivered back to the company we ship with and only brought to our local drop off location once a month. We cannot refund you before the parcel has been returned.

If a parcel has been rerouted back to us because of an incorrect address provided on the order, or because of the failure to pick it up from the post office in time, we will not refund the shipping fee, and will need to charge an additional shipping fee to reship. We are charged a fee to accept the rerouted parcel by our shipping company.

HOLIDAY ARRIVAL TIMES: Please note that shipping around the holidays (November and December) can take longer than the shipping times listed above, even if you purchase express post or priority, as the postal services often get backed up. We cannot guarantee that an item will arrive before a specific date, as once it is shipped, the package is out of our hands. We advise that Christmas orders be purchased as early as October/November to ensure arrival.

If you still have not received your package after 30 days on, feel free to contact us and we can discuss the options with you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

- Where do I put my initial choice? There is no option for that.

Most listings have a personalization option now (working on updating all of our listings). If you don't see that option, please include your initial choice in the note to seller section when you pay.

- Oh no! My order was shipped to the wrong address! What can we do?

This is never good :( Unfortunately, once an order has been shipped, it is out of our hands. If you can contact someone at the current address to forward your mail for you, that would be ideal. The only thing we can do is reship the parcel for an additional shipping fee if it is returned to our address. This has taken anywhere from 2 weeks to over a year, assuming it comes back at all.

- I live near you. Can I pick up?

Sure! If you're willing to meet in Maple Ridge, we absolutely allow for pick ups.

- This jewelry is a gift. Does it come in a box?

Yes! We ship in our beautiful branded jewelry boxes. You can also leave a message for the recipient in the GIFT MESSAGE spot when you pay, and we will include it on the jewelry card background.

- Will you include a note? This is being sent directly to the recipient.

Absolutely. Just tell us what you'd like it to say in the Gift Message spot when you pay.

- Do you do custom orders?

Yes, and no. The only custom work we offer is with handstamped names, words, quotes or initials. These require a flat surface, so we cannot stamp on any of the urn pendants or others that are raised. If you would like a piece engraved rather than handstamped, we recommend contacting a local engraver.

- Do you offer a discount if I order more than one?

We do offer bulk discounts, but they start 5 or more of the same item (custom variations are allowed). We don't, however, offer bulk discounts on our Add Ons. Contact us with your specific request, and we can provide you with a discount code.

However, we do offer regular promotions and giveaways to those who follow us on social media.

- Do you wholesale your jewelry?

Yes, we do offer wholesale options for brick and mortar stores, not other online businesses. Send us a message for more details.

- Can I return/exchange my item?

We do offer returns or exchanges for items that do not have custom personalization. We do not offer returns or exchanges for earrings or orders that include custom initials, names or quotes, or custom cut bracelets and anklets. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery and return to us within 30 days of delivery. The buyer is responsible for the return shipping cost as well as an additional shipping fee in the case of an exchange.
