About

That age-old sense of wonder, exploration and romance . . . translated for the 21st century.

Picture one of those Victorian explorers: some guy sailing the globe, tromping through jungles, floating great rivers, climbing volcanoes, discovering new species.

Now throw him into the 21st century.

Chasing Linnaeus is an assemblage of handcrafted as well as vintage/found pieces offered to help you create a space in which you can tell your own stories of adventure and continue to wonder at the world in which we live (preferably over good drink and in good company).

May the items you find here inspire you to pursue a life well lived ... a life spent chasing Linnaeus.

PayPal and credit card (as per Etsy's direct payment system).
Shipping
I generally ship USPS First Class.

I don't charge to make money off shipping -- I want to make these items as affordable and accessible as possible, while still honoring the handcrafted nature and skill that went into creating them. My shipping costs cover the actual shipping of the item and packing materials.

Because of the distance from my home to the closest United States Postal Service station (approx. 20 miles) I accrue and ship out all orders on the same day each week...generally on Wednesdays. Orders placed late on Tuesday may not allow a suitable amount of time to prepare them for shipping the following day. If this is the case I will contact you and let you know.
Refunds and Exchanges
If for some reason your piece is damaged in the mail, a photo of the damaged item must be submitted to me within 24 hours of package arrival. Full reimbursement of the item will be made or replaced if possible.
Additional policies and FAQs
This pursuit is purely one born out of passion and enthusiasm for the natural world and its exploration. In other words: it's not my day job. I respond to all e-mails and inquiries as quickly as possible, but because of my other obligations, it could take a day or so to respond. I welcome any questions you may have about items within my shop--please don't hesitate to contact me!
