I personally reached out to this customer and offered to send some new string to fix her bracelet free of charge. She accepted and I hope she is now satisfied with this purchase. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to etsy sellers before leaving a negative review; a lot of us are just one-person small businesses trying our best. I am always more than happy to repair any product from my shop, no matter how long ago it was purchased <3

LUCK is when preparation meets opportunity.
In my case, being under-prepared led me there.
Back in 2015, I purchased a metal stamping kit and overlooked an important component - the metal. A jar of coins on my desk taunted me as I tried to think of a clever way to try out this stamp set - a lucky penny - a cheap solution - and Cheap Luck was born.
5 years, some metalsmith classes, and over 500 sales since this defining moment and the dream continues to evolve, as I'm sure it will again and again.
This started as just another creative outlet but to have my work shipped out to different corners of the globe over the years is something I never would've imagined. In 2018 I decided to expand and call this thing Cheap Luck Collective, where I planned on helping out a small group of artisans & makers who share the same values and could benefit from my marketing background.
As it goes, life had different plans and I had to put this dream aside when I got a job that would further my design and photography career. I'll continue to work to one day have a curated collective, but for now I'm coming back as a lone artist with the intention of creating for & from the soul - to satisfy my inner alchemist. This new jewelry line will go by the name LINA.LDNO sold through the Cheap Luck Collective.
All proceeds from the lucky penny series will be going to the The American Civil Liberties Union - a nonprofit organization founded in 1920 "to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States".
100% of proceeds to the ACLU means I cover the cost of supplies and donate my labor, and you get a cute bracelet!
String Bracelets donate $5 | Chain Bracelets donate $10
The original Cheap Luck penny bracelet will remain a staple piece in this collection no matter how my work evolves. It serves as a reminder to create your own luck by working with what you have, and sharing it with those in need.
-Inclusivity & Diversity-
As a first generation daughter of Colombian immigrants, I understand firsthand that the incredible diversity in cultures is what makes this country great. This collective will always be intentional with supporting humans of all backgrounds, and standing in strong support of BIPOC & the LGBTQIA+ communities. También Hablo Español!
-Ethical & Sustainable-
I've intentionally made the switch to recycled & recyclable packaging - please reuse boxes and envelopes if you can!
The Lina.Ldno jewelry line is crafted of completely recycled metals and ethically sourced stones purchased from other small businesses. Any leather work found here is crafted of scraps or secondhand bags and clothing.
