cheeseborger and french fries

I've been drawing my whole life. My parents were caring enough to recognize my passion and to encourage my further development. This came in all forms, from buying supplies, to taking me to evening classes, to framing the work from my younger years and boasting about it proudly.

I studied under Sally Paris for several years during my youth. I was fortunate enough to attend a high school with a serious art program and was entered into several shows. I was president of the art club, and editor in chief of the school's art and literary magazine.

In college I explored 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional design as well as life/figure drawing, photography, and print-making. What intrigued me most was figure drawing and illustration, as is probably apparent in my work. I've been featured in my college's art gallery on two occasions. I eventually became president of the college's art club. Also in college, my work was published in the college art and literary magazine

After college, my work has been on display in the Stockton College Art Gallery, the Gloucester City Art Exhibition of 2011, and I have been an exhibitor/vendor in the Gloucester City Arts and Cultural Festival every year since its inception until 2013. My work was in Trenton Art Works' Halloween Art of Darkness exhibit in 2012 and 2013, as well as their Art All Night exhibit in 2013.

*Payment for Commissions: I require you to purchase the listing for your custom item a full month before you need to receive the final product. This allows me the time to make your item (and either email or ship it to you). It's my policy not to start work on a custom item prior to receiving payment.
All items come from a smoke-free home.

*All orders are filled/shipped within five business days of the order being placed; usually, the items are sent out more quickly than that. I cannot be held accountable for any delays that occur when the item is in the postal service's possession.

For pieces 8.5x11 inches and smaller, I usually sandwich the prints, drawings, and paintings between two pieces of cardboard, and wrap with plastic, then place in an envelope to ship with the US Postal Service. For 11x14's and larger items, I also wrap with plastic, but I then treat them as parcels. I no longer offer tracking/shipping confirmation on orders totaling less than 45 dollars.

For details about my return and refund policy should an item be damaged in transit, see the refunds and exchanges section.
Refunds and Exchanges
*Items damaged in Shipping: These things sometimes happen. The mail metering machines can be tough on large envelopes, and the carriers can sometimes be careless with parcels. If a *print* arrives at your door damaged, send me a photo of it, and I will send you a replacement print of the same image- no additional charge. If an *original piece* arrives damaged, send me a photo, and we can work on a solution depending on the size and cost of the item.

*Cancelled Digital Commissions: If you cancel the commission before I start the main piece, I will refund all but $5 (cost of the sketches) to you. If you cancel after you approve the sketches and I've begun the commission, I will only refund the cost of printing and shipping (if you chose those options).

*Otherwise, in the case of a change of heart or accidental order, I will not refund or exchange the item ordered.
Additional policies and FAQs
*If you require your item by a specific date, contact me before purchasing your item!

*Original Pieces: While no exact prints of original (drawn/inked/painted directly on paper or canvas) illustrations are ever offered, I will make merchandise with variants of the original work. For instance, I may print a black and white marker drawing as a monochrome neon image set behind a calender. This will not diminish the value (or one-of-a-kind nature) of the hard-copy paper/canvas original.

*Prints: All prints are offered in limited runs, to ensure the value of what you're buying. Some artists will sell unlimited quantities of a print, and from a collector's point of view, this may diminish the value of the print. I will always only offer a limited run of prints. How limited the run is will be written somewhere on each item listing.

*Colors: Please keep in mind that because all computers are calibrated differently, the color of your item versus the color of what your computer shows you may vary some. This is true of any piece from any artist.

*Commissions: If you wish to commission a digital artwork, a black and white marker illustration, or a limited palette acrylic painting illustration, simply contact me. Prices given will be based on complexity of (and time required to complete) the image you request. I will advise you of the anticipated length of time to complete your commission. Since it's a made-to-order item, please understand it will take time to be completed. I reserve the right to post your item to my portfolio.

*Centering: In the item descriptions, I often state that images are "centered on" a paper of a certain size. In these cases, the image is not "full bleed," or it does not go right to the edge of the paper. It means there will be white borders or mattes around the image on that piece of paper so that it will fit without cutting off any of the content.

*Changes to Works: If you wish to make "minor" edits to the existing items in the gallery, contact me BEFORE purchasing. Generally speaking, most edits are not impossible, but some may be quite time consuming. All minor edits will have a fee; the more difficult the edit, the higher the fee. To request a minor edit, use the "request custom item" button. If we agree to on the edit and cost, I'll un-list the piece, list a new custom item for you, and after you purchase it, I'll make the edit(s).

*Again, all items ship from a smoke-free home.
