About

Metalsmith. Painter. _______.

As a child, I kept a tool-box full of scavenged trinkets. When I found the right pieces, I'd join them together to create something wholly new. I believe it's a gift to be able to see disjointed, incomplete, disconnected things as part of a future whole. With my art, I seek to combine my favorite things to represent a whole-ness that is unseen, soul-level, and full of beauty.

I have been making jewelry since I was a child. In college, I studied metalsmithing and watercolor painting and fell completely in love. After school, with no solid plans to grow my business, my desire to sell my jewelry seemed like an impossibility, so I looked for opportunities elsewhere. I ended up teaching jewelry-making in Thailand for a few months, working with women who had been brought out of lifestyles of prostitution. During this time, my love for teaching, counseling, knowing people, and and simply making art grew.

Upon returning home, I re-visited teaching and selling my jewelry, with great success in the former, and minimal return on the latter, contributing to a bad attitude, low self-esteem, and slight depression. Communication and teaching has always been a gift, but my heart was still stuck on making and selling my own work - which seemed far-fetched since I intensely disliked marketing.

After working almost 3 years in a retail position (for which I'm quite grateful), I've picked up where I left off. On any given day I can be found in my "studio" which is really just a metal table set up in my home. It's a small space. I have to use the bathroom sink to clean my metal, and I need several lamps to properly illuminate the room when it's cloudy or dark out, and yet I couldn't be happier. I've got a new attitude, and I can't wait to see where it takes me, by God's grace.

A large amount of my jewelry is made-to-order, meaning that I don't make it until you order it! Each listing states that I may take up to 2-4 weeks to create your jewelry, but I often make and ship it sooner. If you have a special need-by date, please message me! Many times I can work with your time frame.

Please keep in mind that, although you upgrade shipping, unless I have the item currently in stock, I may still use 2-4 weeks to make and ship the item.
Additional policies and FAQs
I love doing custom orders, but I cannot guarantee that I will take on every project that comes my way. Sometimes the costs I incur to make custom work outweighs the profit, and my business cannot sustain it. However, don't be shy! Message me about your ideas, and I'll see what I can do.

Wholesale buyers may contact me for a line sheet.
