About

Welcome to Cheryl Steventon Glass

I make original glass art and sculptures inspired by the English coast and countryside. My work is heavily inspired by living in Cornwall and Warwickshire and regularly features boats, fish, cottages, animals and other influences from the coast and countryside.

Each piece is completely made by hand, from the initial design work, through carefully choosing the materials and cutting the glass and adding engraving or embellishments to soldering the pieces together and hand finishing. I particularly enjoy incorporating found elements such as driftwood and stones to bring a variety of textures and interest.

I have been making stained glass since I first took a course in 2006 and was hooked! Since then I have learned a lot (largely through trial and error!) but I've found there is always something new to discover.

I have been fascinated by glass ever since I was a little girl. The colours, texture, and patterns are so varied it is always exciting. I have been making stained glass since 2006 and love that there is always something new to learn.
