5 out of 5 starsWe collect minimalist vessels, so this bird feeder was the perfect addition to our home. The shipment packaging was immaculate and it arrived quickly. It's just as pictured, the blue glaze is stunning and the wire hanger is very sturdy. The overall size of this ceramic feeder is heavier and of better quality than a feeder from a big box store. We suspended it from a tree limb with a thicker vinyl coated galvanized wire to protect the tree and Cheryl's beautiful artwork.

I am a studio potter living in Northern California. All my pottery is handmade. Each piece is designed and made by me in my home studio.
My pottery is slab built, wheel thrown and/or cast from original molds. Most pieces are a combination of at least two of these processes. Once constructed, each piece is textured, altered or finished individually. The glazes are hand-mixed in my studio. All pieces are high-fired in an electric kiln.
I find inspiration in making pieces that people use and enjoy in their daily lives. I was impacted years ago by a comment made in a workshop I attended: "Always look for the extraordinary in the ordinary." I believe that the ordinary things we surround ourselves with - the pieces we use and the things we look at day after day should add beauty to our environment and make us happy when using them. Whether making a platter, a lamp or a garden sculpture, my goal is to contribute beauty, simplicity and a sense of harmony through my work.

Since I’m in Northern California, my garden pieces stay outside all year. In areas with severe winter weather, I suggest my pottery garden items be brought inside during the icy, snowy months.
