The bride's place

Planning my wedding was a wonderful experience and the major impetus for founding chez la mariée. At every step along the way, I sought to imbue my wedding with meaningful artistic touches in the tradition of timeless French elegance.

With chez la mariée (French for "the bride's place") I hope to provide a place for brides like me to source unique accents for their big day and beyond. Wedding guests can also visit chez la mariée to find thoughtful, original gifts. From miniature painting favors to custom bridal fashion illustrations to fully custom wedding invitation suites, this shop's artworks and designs will add a touch of artistry to your event.

Chez la mariée's policies are in place to protect both buyer and seller throughout the purchase and production process. Though some may seem slightly foreboding, they exist to ensure that what you purchase it what you want and what you receive. It is important for us to emphasize that chez la mariée is dedicated to satisfying our customers through close consultation and transparency.

Consequently, we strongly encourage potential and current customers to be in close communication with us. Ask questions, express your opinions, and share what you are feeling throughout the design consultation process. Do not commit to any purchase -- be it a custom commission or one of our in stock products -- if you are unsure. Instead, talk to us! We will always be eager to listen and would love to hear from you!

Seller guarantee:

Chez la mariée ("the seller") guarantees close consultation on all custom commissions as well as transparency and good communication regarding all its products during the buyer's product selection process. However, given the subjective aesthetic nature of the seller's products, certain policies are in place to protect all parties.

Custom commissions: All buyers will have final approval on a draft or proof of their commission(s). After this approval is received, the seller will accept payment and produce the final product. At this point, all sales are final unless compelling evidence can be provided of damage or loss occurring during shipment, subject to the terms and conditions of the shipping carrier.

All other merchandise: All non-custom products are sold as-is; buyers are encouraged to scrutinize closely photos posted by the seller and to ask questions of the seller *prior* to purchasing. Refunds are available only in cases where compelling evidence can be provided of damage or loss occurring during shipment, subject to the terms and conditions of the shipping carrier.

The seller reserves the right to utilize non-electronic methods to provide any refunds, including but not limited to money orders and personal checks. Refunds will be provided within 30 business days of the seller's communication of refund approval to the buyer.
Payment
Custom commissions:
Payment for custom orders is due *after* the buyer has consulted with chez la mariée ("the seller") for a specific design, quantity, etc. Most often, this will involve the seller providing a proof design to the buyer for approval. After payment has been made, the seller will complete the production of the commission. All sales are final. Cancellation of the order will not entitle the buyer to a refund.

All other merchandise: Cancellations will not be accepted for any merchandise which has shipped.

Shipping
Chez la mariée will ship items to the buyer via USPS Priority Mail or FedEx with tracking and insurance (USPS) or declared value (FedEx) protection. Chez la mariée agrees to tender the shipment to the carrier, but is not liable for loss or damage occurring during shipment. In the event of loss or damage, the carrier will require proof of loss or damage for an insurance or declared value claim. In the case of package loss, the carrier will require time to execute a package search or trace, subject to the carrier's terms and conditions. No claims can be resolved prior to this search period.
