A knitwear shop on a mission!
Petite Laine is about...
Love of a job well done
Respect for nature
Supporting responsable buying habits
... and it's the story of two old friends, avid knitters et lovers of luxurious natural fibers. One, Marie-Christine, is a mom of two and the other, Geneviève, is "the world's most awesome auntie". They have a crazy notion to bring wool and noble fibers back in a textile world dominated by acrylics and polyesters. Petite Laine is born, with a mission to offer knitted creations that are made to be loved on and on.
Both knitters experiment with patterns and techniques, striving to achieve the perfect balance between looks and functionality. A collection of children's winter accessories sees the day, followed by a line of men's bowties that are anything but run-of-the-mill.
When the world's best auntie leaves Quebec for studies abroad, the mom decides to face the challenge head on and keep the project evolving. After many successful presences at various craft fairs, new doors are opening up for Petite Laine: a collaboration with a fiber dyeing artisan (Mots de Laine) and a collection of accessories for adults are on the horizon... This is just the beginning!
