About

From printmaking to textile, under the light of a firefly.

lucciole is the italian term for fireflies. The name was inspired by an article written by a famous italian poet, writers and intellectual: Pier Paolo Pasolini.

lucciole was born in 2009, as a personal project: for me it's a real job, but also a dream.

It is focused on printmaking, above all linocut on paper and fabrics, and embroidery.

lucciole is based on the belief that each handmade object has its own value in the relationship between the designer, his/her tools, and those who receive it.

This is also why in sunny morning in october 2013 I co-founded an open fab-lab in Milan, with other two great crafters: Mirta from miplused design and Giulia, from keep calm and knit (you can find their shop on Etsy too).

We called it MOKAlab and it is just in front of one of the Milan's famous canals (the "Navigli"), so if you're in the city, come and visit us!

lucciole today is a research lab, a space of experimentation, between shape and materials, inks and threads.
