Announcement   Welcome to my little shop of bracelets! Each is one of a kind, and I design and create them using gemstones, Czech glass, freshwater pearls, solid bronze and solid brass.

I love all jewelry, but I especially love bracelets because you get to see them all day, floating there at the end of your arm. That's why I make sure to include as many interesting materials in my creations as possible: gemstones with beautiful organic inclusions, Czech glass beads with rustic Picasso finishes, freshwater pearls with unusual shapes, and other unique beads, along with oxidized solid bronze and brass. A uniform strand of perfectly matching stones is never a part of my design process!

I hand-knot my bracelets using strong, flexible Irish waxed linen. This is a more time-consuming method but I think the interesting contrast between the beads and the rustic nature of the finished piece make it worth the extra effort. I hope you do to!

If you don't see what you're looking for, just convo me and I may be able to create the perfect bracelet for you. Since I design each piece one at a time (no assembly lines here!), please keep in mind I that may not be able to exactly re-create something that has already sold from my shop. I have hundreds of different kinds of stone, pearl and glass beads, but usually in smaller quantities to keep creative inspiration up and cookie-cutter design down :-)

Thanks for stopping by – I hope you find something that charms and delights you!

About

Unique, slightly rustic, casually charming bracelets!

I rediscovered my love of creating jewelry the night before a big family vacation. It was late and I was doing some last-minute packing (translate: all of the packing...), when I decided that I really, really needed a new bracelet that I could wear for the trip. So around midnight out come all of my materials and tools (insert husband's "why am I not surprised" eye roll here). One favorite bracelet later, I was hooked again on playing with all of those fabulous, beautiful beads! And I've been hand-knotting beads one by one ever since!

I'm always curious about why people choose to name their Etsy shops, websites, etc. the names that they do. So, what's up with "chick & charming", you say? A while back I bought my daughter a set of metal stamps for her new "Lucky Pennies" business that she started for her school's Entrepreneur Night. Well, I couldn't resist playing with them too, and began stamping little chicken heads on charms that I then started adding to my bracelets. (Ok, she thinks they look like ducks, but I've grown quite fond of my chick & charming!)

What inspires me when I'm daydreaming about what to create next? While I agree with most people that sunsets and nature walks are beautiful and inspiring, in reality I'm usually pulling out my phone to snap a quick pic of the colors in that awesome shower curtain at World Market, or the peeling paint on the old shed that I pass several times a week, or the cool illustrations in a book my kids got from the library. So many amazing color combinations, so little time to bead them all.

Thanks for stopping by my little shop of bracelets. And thanks for shopping handmade!

As with all jewelry, a few simple steps will keep yours looking great: remove when showering, swimming, and when applying lotions or sprays.
