Hello! I’m so happy you happened upon my shop, and I hope you enjoy poking around and taking a look at my latest creations. My name is Brooke, and I’m the owner and crafter at Beauty in the Books. I’m married to a really amazing man, the mom to very sweet and spirited boy/girl twin toddlers, and the fur mama to two dogs and two cats... Its starting to feel like Noah’s ark over here. Beauty in the Books is very much a labor of love... In a perfect world, every inch of my house would be covered, floor to ceiling, in books. The smell of an old book, the antiqued and weathered pages of well-loved classics, the familiarity of picking up one of your favorites for the 100th time and feeling like you’re visiting old friends... Books hold a very special place in my heart. So, when I’d see books sitting dusty on shelves, falling apart beyond repair, or in the recycling bin, it killed me a little inside. There HAD to be a better way to preserve the beautiful weathered pages of these books that told not just the story contained WITHIN the pages, but also the story OF the pages. Of how many cozy winter nights it spent being read by the fire, soaking the woodsy scent into each page. Or of how much comfort it brought a grieving soul as tears stained the pages. Or, my personal favorite, the story of excited children, cuddled around and listening as their parents read, maybe even accidentally tearing a page in their haste to know what happened next?

And thus, Beauty in the Books was born.

I take those stories and I turn them into something that can be appreciated in another way. Decorating my home with the beautiful pages of once beloved books is a way for me to have my floor to ceiling happy place, and I hope you'll love filling your home with them, too. After all, that's where the grandest stories of our lives begin.
