Announcement    Ten years or so ago I saw a sample of eco dyeing. I literally through I had “died” and gone to heaven. Instantly I was excited. I knew I had to learn more about this process. I became obsessed. Well, I did learn. I dyed and dyed and dyed. Every time I do it, it is magical to me. At first it was scarves, then home accessories and re-purposed clothing. I knew I had to take it up a notch. Now I constantly challenge myself to create new and exciting one of a kind garments. It is here that I offer them to you.

A little background:
I love to create…stuff. Since my childhood, I have made things. I began sewing and knitting at about age 8 when I began hand sewing and knitting clothes for my Barbie doll. I also learned to play the piano about that time. In high school I made most of my clothing (and my best friend’s), made jewelry, played in the school band and orchestra, and participated in the drama department. Doing anything and everything in a creative way is a part of my daily life. Throughout my adult life, I have made and sold things I have made, mostly either jewelry or fiber related items, mostly clothing. I supported myself by making gold and silver jewelry for 25 years. Now I just dabble in that, along with sewing, knitting, felting, dyeing, weaving and whatever catches my interest. I teach felting and knitting regionally. I have won numerous awards at the Nevada County Fair and the California State Fair for my submissions in fiber art. Someone recently commented on my endeavors and I replied, “Well, that’s just what I do. I make things. That’s who I am.”

You may want to check out my other esty store: forevermohr for vintage clothing, accessories and items that I have collected over the years.

Also, please be sure to visit our business website at www.hautesteel.com for great steel garden art! We now have over 60 breed specific dog garden stakes.
