Creating handcrafted keepsakes is a pastime that has been passed down from one generation to the next in my small, Michigan family. That is one important reason why Children's Woodland is still a family owned and operated business.

I created Children's Woodland in 1996, when I was just sixteen years old and began by selling my cloth activity books at local craft shows. My customers were impressed with my attention to detail at such a young age and over the years my enjoyment of creating unique and well-made toys has not changed.

Today, the main focus of my toys is still to teach as well as provide hours of enjoyment. It always makes me happy to know that my toys are being enjoyed by children as much as I enjoyed creating them.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
We are happy to accept returns of items that are unopened and have not been played with, though we are not able to offer returns on personalized/customized items. We must be contacted regarding the return within 3 days of the items arrival to you and the item must be shipped back within 7 days. In order to guarantee refund, purchases MUST be returned in the same condition as received and in the same external and internal packaging as received. The buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs.
Payment
We accept payment through Etsy Payments and Paypal. Payment must be made within 3 days of purchase or we reserve the right to cancel the sale and/or re-list the item.
Shipping
~ Domestic Shipping ~

Our items typically ship by USPS first class or priority mail. For most addresses within the U.S. order arrive within 3-8 days after shipment. Please see the individual listing for handling times.

~ International Shipping ~

Our items typically ship by USPS first class international or priority mail international. For most countries we have found that orders arrive within 2-3 weeks from shipment, though it is always possible that a package with take longer if it is held up in customs. 3-8 days after shipment. Please see the individual listing for handling times.

~ International Customs and Import Taxes ~

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for any delays due to customs.
Additional policies and FAQs
~ Canceling an Order ~

We are only able to cancel orders if we receive an e-mail request for cancellation within 4 hours of the order being purchased. Orders that have already shipped cannot be canceled and personalized items can not be canceled if the personalization has already been started. If you would like to cancel an order that has already been paid for through paypal there will be a $2.50 minimum restocking fee per item or 15% of the total purchase price if higher to cover the time and fees associated with your order.

~ Unclaimed Orders ~

If an order is unclaimed upon delivery and is returned to us by the shipping service we will contact the customer within 48 hrs to notify them of the return. Customer will be responsible for the cost of reshipment as well as an additional $2 reshipment fee. Unclaimed orders are not eligible for return, exchange or refund.

~ Custom Orders ~

At this time the only custom orders we are able to accept that involve a minor alteration to the items we already have for sale. Please be aware that, due to the time/cost involved, custom order will always be priced higher than the prices in our shop. Since they are one-of-a-kind, we are not able to accept returns or exchanges on custom orders once the work has begun.
