Beautiful ring! looks even better in person. I ordered this ring as a part of a his and hers set, it is unique and very well made. Christina was very helpful, she was attentive, polite, and made sure all of our expectations were met.

Setting stones is rare for me, but I have a feeling you'll see more from now on. :) This Amber and hand-stamped sterling silver clover necklace is now available for purchase.
It's been awhile since I've listed jewelry "just because", but I'm happy to say a fresh pair of "Loft" earrings is ready for a new home. relaxed

About

Designs from a Hopeful Creative

Daily I grow closer to who I am meant to be, and that has brought such gratitude it's difficult to put into words.

After graduating college with a degree in business administration, I spent the next 12 years writing code for a software development company. I enjoyed coding at first, but over time wanted something more. I longed for a creative outlet and often made things in my free time, whether it involved sewing, crocheting, decorating, or even computer graphics. One day an artist held an open studio class at the office, where I first put a brush to canvas. That was the spark that changed the trajectory of my career path. Shortly after I began studying interior design. In class I learned even more about design, drawing and color theory. The first moment I used charcoal was magical.

When I opened my Etsy shop, it contained only a handful of drawings and paintings. But when I sold that first drawing, I immediately knew my dreaming and hoping had a purpose.

Making jewelry is a passion that took me by surprise. While attending the Atlanta Dogwood Festival one Spring, the jewelry of a metalsmith caught my eye and I asked the question: "How did she *do* that?" To find the answer, I joined a metals class and was instantly hooked. Realizing I could create beautiful, wearable works of art, building on the skills I had already acquired, was pivotal for me. I have been reading about new techniques, attending classes and making jewelry ever since.

When you purchase from my shop, I am the person behind every piece of artwork and jewelry you see. Etsy has been a wonderful venue for allowing me to start and grow my business.

When work and play are combined in one, it truly is one of the best feelings. I'll never be able to say "thank you" enough.

Thank you so much for visiting my shop!

All jewelry items listed are original designs that have been hand-fabricated by me, Christina Steward, using metalsmith techniques. I cut, saw, hammer, solder, sand, and polish each piece from raw materials. Many designs originate from a pencil sketch, but some evolve just by working the metal and letting designs emerge in the moment.

All artworks listed are original works of art, or based on an original (print/giclee) created by me. Drawings are completed on archival, acid-free paper, with the specific type of paper listed with each item. A professional art fixative is used on drawings to minimize smudging and dust. Paintings are sealed with a varnish, unless otherwise noted with the item. I sign or initial each work of art on both the front and back.

Unless stated differently on an item listing, prices shown are for unmatted/unframed artwork. Please inquire if you are interested in matting/framing for an additional cost.
