Great little ring and it was delivered very timely! The oxidizing does fade when worn all the time as mentioned but very easy to reoxidize myself. Always happy with my purchases from this seller!!
My story and I'm sticking to it...
I’m Christine Mighion, like “pigeon”, only slightly more elegant.
I’m an artist, a soul worker, and one woman show! I’m a woman in love with color and raw beauty. And in a very small way, I’m trying to help our world with your help, one piece of jewelry at a time.
The natural world is very important to me. It has inspired me since I was a young child and it has beckoned me to travel great distances to breathe in it’s beauty. I’ve felt the wet earth in between my toes while hiking in rain forests and have memorized its intoxicating scent. I’ve walked above the clouds, where the air is thin and the silversword grow. Yet it’s the sea, with its other worldly creatures, healing rhythms, and ever changing moods, that has completely stolen my heart. Whether it's in the beauty of an unusual stone or the textural fingerprint created while working a piece of metal, I hope you will not only see a hint of this inspiration, but feel something move inside of you. It is my hope that your piece speaks directly to your soul.
Kicking my ego to the curb…
Not too long ago, my jewelry created a little buzz. It was featured in multiple national and international fashion and lifestyle magazines, and I even had a handful of celebrity clients. I was on a business trajectory that most people dream of, but it wasn’t my dream.
After a little soul searching and pushing my ego aside, I decided to change gears. I began my business because I truly loved creating each piece with my hands. I enjoyed going into the studio and not knowing what might flow through me that day. I just knew that I needed to create jewelry that spoke to my soul. And I could only hope that you would be able to feel love that I poured into every piece.
Fabricating a piece of jewelry from raw metal takes time. Like reciting a sacred prayer, I’m in the present moment when I’m building a piece. Using fire and ancient metalsmithing techniques, I slowly and intentionally form the metal into something beautiful and unique. I never have a sketched plan, but I listen for each stone to speak to me, and they do. Images and stories come to mind and with those I begin. It’s truly a sacred dance and I'm thankful for the muse that guides me.
Christine Mighion Jewelry has been committed to running an ethical and environmentally conscious business since day one. I use only 100% recycled gold and silver to create each piece of jewelry. If all jewelry designers committed to this one action alone, we could greatly reduce the destruction to the environment, it’s water supply, and surrounding communities due to mining new metals. All diamonds are conflict free and purchased within the United States and whenever possible, I use ethically mined stones.
Recently, I’ve fallen in love with cutting my own stones. This not only reduces waste, but insures you have received a piece of jewelry that has been completely created by the artist’s hands and soul, from start to finish.
You and I…
I’ve truly enjoyed the stories and pictures you’ve shared with me more than you would ever know. I treasure hearing how a piece of my jewelry that I made in love, came to signify something special in your life or in someone’s life that you cherish. So to this day, when you reach out to me with a question, I’ll be the one answering you and not an assistant. Our connection is as important to me as the piece of jewelry you receive.
Thank you for your continued support of my work!

RESTOCKING FEE ON RINGS: I will charge a 20% - 30% restocking fee at my discretion. This fee is dependent on materials within the ring, size ordered, and the need to resize and refinish a ring for sale once again. Some stones, such as opals, are soft and can break with continual manipulation of the band and setting.
PLEASE NOTE: Custom orders, one of a kind rings, rings that have been sized to fit, international orders, wedding bands, and sample or "sale" items are final sale and not returnable.
Additional policies and FAQs
DO YOU USE METALS RECYCLED?
- Yes! All of our items are made with 100% recycled gold and sterling silver that has been purchased from Hoover & Strong here in the US.
DO YOU ACCEPT CUSTOM WORK?
- Currently, I accept a limited number of custom requests depending on the scale of the project and design. I'm happy to look at images of pieces by other designers that you like for inspiration such as stone placement, but I will not copy their work. My style is my own and when you request a custom piece, you are requesting a piece that looks like my style. I do not work in white gold or platinum.
CAN YOU USE MY GOLD OR SILVER TO CREATE A PIECE?
- Depending on the project, sometimes I can do this. Currently, I am not able to refine and mill my own metal. I do use my own scrap to create small discs and pebbles, but I purchase my recycled metal from Hoover & Strong.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY ORDER TO SHIP?
- MADE TO ORDER ITEMS: Please allow up to 14 business days to complete and
ship. Most items do ship before this, but this is a good rule of thumb. If you need your item by a specific date, please contact me prior to purchasing and I will let you know if it is possible to accommodate your request.
- ONE OF A KIND & SAMPLE SALE ITEMS: Necklaces and Earrings ship within one business day upon receipt of your cleared payment. Rings will ship within 5-7 business days if resizing is needed.
ARE YOUR DIAMONDS CONFLICT FREE?
- All gemstones & diamonds used in my designs are sourced from respected
and reputable GIA certified US based professionals. I only purchase materials
from US based diamond and gemstone dealers who have pledged to sell conflict
free and follow the Kimberly process.
CAN YOU MAKE A RING USING MY DIAMOND OR GEMSTONE:
- Unfortunately at this time I am not accepting projects using customer provided
gemstones or diamonds for liability reasons.
WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON RESIZING RINGS?
- If you have purchased a gold ring, I offer one complementary ring sizing after you have received your ring with the exception of the Unisex Wedding Bands and my Journey Band. With silver, this can only be done on a case by case basis as most silver pieces containing stones can not be resized due to the soldering process.
I know it is sometimes easier to run to your local jeweler rather than mail a ring back to me, but I have found that often commercial jewelers try to buff out the hammered texture of a band and give the piece a high polish. I have also seen stones that have not been protected from the heat of a torch become damaged beyond repair, so I highly recommend sending the ring to me for this service.
DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN PHILANTHROPY?
I'm a strong believer in giving back! Your support allows me to give a percentage of my profits to many charitable and worthwhile causes. For more information on this, please feel free to contact me directly.
Frequently asked questions
What if I don't know my ring size?
I offer reusable ring sizers available to US residents for $2. Please contact me prior to ordering to purchase one.
What if I order the wrong size ring? Can I return it?
I recommend getting the finger in which you intend on wearing your ring measured before ordering to ensure your jewelry will fit. As noted in my listings, when ordering a ring with a wide band you will need to order approximately one half to one full size bigger. Also be aware that finger sizes fluctuate during the day as well as certain times of the year.
Since I am a small business, I cannot accept returns or exchanges on rings that were ordered in the wrong size.
Are you able to resize a ring if I order the wrong size?
This completely depends on the ring you purchased. If you have purchased a gold ring, I offer one complementary ring sizing after you have received your ring with the exception of the Unisex Wedding Bands and my Journey Band. With silver, this can only be done on a case by case basis as most silver pieces containing stones can not be resized due to the soldering process.
What is your policy on returns?
If a piece of jewelry does not meet your expectations please contact me within 3 days of receipt of your purchase. Since I am a small business I do not offer cash returns. However, in most cases I am happy to exchange your piece or issue you a credit code (minus shipping) if the piece is returned unworn and in it's original condition and packaging. One of a kind rings that have been sized to fit you are not eligible for exchange/credit.
Packages will not be accepted without an RA number. All returns must be received within 2 weeks of issuing the RA number to be eligible for credit/exchange.
A restocking fee may apply. See my full shop policies for more information regarding this.
