About chrpaperie
Ever since I was little, I’ve been drawn to beautiful things. I see beauty in art, in a quiet snowfall, in my grandmother’s old button collection, in the way that the dust dances as the sunlight streams through my bedroom window. As I grew up, this love for beauty led to a desire to create it. I always loved arts & crafts and making things, and studied Public Relations and Art in college.
I ended up going to grad school and heading in a different direction after college, but have always missed creativity. Now with a full-time job, a husband and two kids, hand-lettering has become a resting place for me.
For so long, I also dreamed of running a creative business on the side to help support my family, however, fear kept me from pursuing it. One day, I woke up and decided to get over myself and do it, and I’m so grateful I did. I deeply believe that God gives us our gifts and abilities and dreams for a reason, and to allow fear to keep us from pursuing them dishonors not only Him, but also who He created us to be.
I never dreamed this business would grow as much as it has, or that I would get as much joy out of it as I do. Thank you for following along, and for your support!
