We design and make limited edition leather bags in our shop located in upstate New York only a few miles from the twin cities of Johnstown and Gloversville. The area employed thousands of people both in the tanning and finishing industry as well as sewing leather garments. The sewing no longer exists,however the tanning and finishing of some of the worlds most sophisticated leather comes from several mills. Embossing,tipping,complicated multi dying technics used in high end brands are processed here. This gives us a unique opportunity to purchase directly.
I learned to sew at an early age as well as my sister who works with me. Our mother and grandmother sewed for a living. After attending L.I.U. university on Long Island New York on an art scholarship I worked at various jobs in the art field settling on leather products partly because of the vast amount of leather just down the road. My vision and style comes from my passion in life, horses and flyfishing. Both of which require a harmony with nature. I design functional and stylish bags that are different than the ordinary.
