I didn't find Dreamy Vintage Sheets, it found me. Through a bizarre chain of events I found myself looking for work after many years with the same company. It just happened to be during the worst economic time I can remember.
My heart was broken because I didn't know how I would afford fabric to make quilts for children with cancer. Something that is near and dear to my heart.
In the process of making these quilts, I had completely fallen for ETSY, loved shopping for fabric. Fabric and batting for a quilt can run quite a bit. So to help out with the financial aspect a friend suggested using vintage sheets. One day while shopping for sheets, I spotted a shiny vintage sewing machine, it looked like the dash board on a 57 Chevy. Beautiful. Like new, in its own hardwood cabinet. I named my new machine, Mr. Morse, my hard working partner. We start each day in the wee hours of the morning, inspired and loving the creative process. That's how Dreamy Vintage Sheets was born. The answer to a prayer, a dream come true
