5 out of 5 starsNice pendant which I received quite fast. The seahorse charm goes very well with this dainty pendant that can be worn on both sides (in fact, I like the other side better than what's shown on the picture). The chain is perfect, as dainty as the pendant. Now I have quite a collection, thanks to this shop's wonderful reminders of the sea and prehistoric times! Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsThis big abalone shell is a real beauty. It evokes time spent without a care in the world, in warm tropical waters with its abondant sea life. I will wear this as a pendant to remind me of those times...thank you for the quick dispatch and nice packaging!

Sometimes life works out better than planned
It's funny how things work out, isn't it? Making jewellery was always a hobby for me, although I had sold a few things occasionally before I set up this shop in 2008. I was doing my PhD in law, and thought that selling my designs online would be a pleasant distraction. And it was, for a while.
When my mitochondrial disease progressed to the point I could no longer continue with school, I realized this little sideline activity could be my "real" job, if I wanted. The flexibility allows me to rest when I need to, but I am still able to earn a living while doing something I love. It's not exactly where I planned on ending up, but it's a pretty nice place to be!
My shop features many items that are "easy to wear" for people who have strength & dexterity troubles - my disability friendly line can be found here: http://etsy.me/16ph1Jg

I won't bore you with photos of my workspace; instead I am giving you snapshots of some of my favourite places, where I draw inspiration for my natural designs.

Returns and exchange details
I also accept returns, if you contact me first. Non-Canadian orders must be returned by regular mail (with a customs form), as I cannot accept out-of-country courier deliveries. The shipping costs in these cases are paid by the buyer. Earring returns are subject to an ear hook replacement fee, as the hooks cannot be resold. Free shipping items will be refunded minus my initial shipping cost.
Many of my natural items, such as shells and geodes, are somewhat fragile & cannot be dropped or mistreated without risking breakage, so please handle them with love & care.

Shipping
Shipping to countries other than Canada can take a lot of time - sometimes more than 2 weeks to the US and even longer abroad. Expedited shipping is available for an extra fee.
Tracking is only automatically included for a few larger items shipped in Canada; my regular mail is untracked.
Canadian, US & EU buyers can select a tracked option when checking out; others can contact me for a quote.
With the current world situation, there are additional postal delays; Canada Post states it is now taking an extra 5-7 business days for US shipments, for example, and both domestic and international packages are also taking much longer than usual.
You may need to pay customs, duties or taxes on your purchase in your jurisdiction (outside of Canada and the US).
Gift packaging is available on request.
Additional policies and FAQs
Wholesale & custom order inquiries are welcome. Once paid for (including down payments), custom orders cannot be refunded.
