5 out of 5 starsThis dress is exquisite! It is so lightweight, yet luxurious! I gasped when I saw it! The design is beautiful too. Very very high fashion…something I would love to have for myself! I can’t wait to photograph it on my doll as she poses in the scene I bought it for! The color is an enchanting shade of light pink, too. Thank you so much! Your skills are nonpareil! 🌸💗

5 out of 5 starsLime green is my favorite color, so when I saw it paired with blush pink, I knew it would be so sweet! It has a petal pink collar, a pink ribbon accent, and Cindy's signature golden thread bib top. A lime and pink ribbon accessory were tucked in with this dreamy dress! In love with lime! <3

5 out of 5 starsA light petal pink gauzy layer lets the flamingo pink layer underneath peek through and it's so sweet. The top part of this sweetness is sewn with a golden thread overstitch, and it gives the appearance of brocade. I don't know how Cindy achieves this, but, I do know I love it! The flamingo and petal pink accompanying ribbon is the cherry on top! Thank you always Cindy! <3

5 out of 5 starsHibiscus plum pink meets geranium pink and rich scarlet pink and forms a trifecta! This raw silk gown is so beautiful and romantic and the ribbon accessory has a pair of deep pink roses sewn on, adding to its charm! Stunning! Thank you Cindy! <3

5 out of 5 starsSalmon and coral are so lovely for the summer and will look dreamy on my girls! With each dress confection, Cindy includes a companion raw silk accessory that can be worn as a hair compliment, around the waist, as a sash.....any way, really! This ribbon partner has two sweet little cream and pink roses on it and is such a nice touch! In love always! Thank you Cindy! <3

5 out of 5 starsYou and I have had a few conversations about why you don’t do white dresses! I’m thrilled you did this dress Cindy! White is a very ethereal and soothing color and I love to see it on Blythe dolls! I’m thrilled you made this frothy white stunner, and I got it!!

Pattern and Tutorial Shop for Blythe Lovers Who Sew
I have been designing and sewing clothes for dolls and people since 1974!! I was a professional milliner in the early 1990s, a professional quilt artist from about 1994 to 2000. I have been a professional doll artist since 2001. I was a cloth doll artist for 10 years. I had my work shown in galleries and in magazines for many years. Later I discovered Blythe dolls and began customizing plastic dolls. In 2010 I decided to offer items for other peoples' dolls. First it was hats for dolls of all sizes. In 2012 I began offering designer clothing specifically for Blythe dolls. I have been designing and selling doll clothing and dolls full time since then. Beginning 2016, I moved from selling collections of my clothing items to designing patterns and tutorials that will teach you how to make what I have dreamed up in the past and will dream up in the future. If you like to sew, my tutorials are like sewing along with me. I show you step by step via words and photos exactly what I do to start and complete each piece.
My fashion design background comes from having learned to sew at age 11 or 12. I took advanced sewing classes in high school. I attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles to study Fashion Design in my 20s. I also took a year's training in millinery (human) from Wayne Wichern in Seattle. I have been in business for myself since the early 1990s, doing what I love.

I am a doll lover, doll maker, doll customizer, doll clothing and hat designer. I do other things, but sometimes they all seem to blend in.
Shop policies
All of my patterns are designed and written by me. Copyright of the written information, photos and patterns is retained by me. Upon purchase of pattern/tutorial, you may make this outfit for yourself, to give away, or to sell, but you may not sell or distribute my copyrighted pattern or tutorial. If you sell your handmade items made from my patterns, please give credit to me as the pattern designer, Cindy Sowers and add a link to my shop http://www.cindysowers.etsy.com Mass production prohibited.
All physical items are designed and constructed by me. I use high quality materials for everything I do. All items are constructed individually one at a time, by me. In all cases, my items are not intended for children, but are meant for adult collectors. Although I construct things to be sturdy, often things will have small parts that would not be suitable for children.
***When purchasing doll clothing items, be aware that dolls made from vinyl, plastic, resin, etc. may stain easily. Some synthetic materials stain more easily than others. With Blythe dolls, the legs are the most vulnerable. My hand-dyed items are laundered and I use color retaining products to aid in colorfasting, but unless clothing items are white or very light colors, I recommend using light colored tights or other protective cover on dolls when using clothing any color darker than white on your dolls. Nothing I make is guaranteed to be 100% colorfast. Fabrics and dyes are meant for safety on human skin. There is no colorant for clothing that is meant specifically to be worn against vinyl, plastic or resin. Plastic, resins and vinyl, etc., do not behave like human skin. They seem to draw color out of colored fabric products to attach to the doll. No matter what color retaining products are used. some colors will tend to bleed out over time, whether dyed at home or dyed commercially. In addition, do not leave dyed or non-white clothing on dolls for extended periods. No matter how a fabric is treated, Blythe dolls and other plastic/vinyl/resin dolls are likely to soak up dye and stain over time. Generally speaking, benzoyl peroxide (zit cream) seems to get the stains out on stained blythe doll bodies, but it takes time and sometimes repeated applications. Warmth (not to melting obviously) from sunlight seems to quicken the procedure. Up to a month (one application a week for a month of benzoyl peroxide) in some cases may be needed to remove stains. Please use caution. I cannot be responsible for what you do or do not do to your dolls.

Shipping
First Class within the USA takes up to 10 days for delivery according to the post office, but my experience has been that things arrive within 5 days in the Continental US. If you want your item more quickly, convo me and I will add extra shipping costs to your purchase and will ship Priority or whatever you require.
For International packages, I am now using Etsy shipping labels and all packages will now be insured. Items cannot be replaced, as they are virtually all OOAK, but lost items will be refunded. Please contact me in a timely manner if a package is lost.
***PLEASE NOTE: For International packages the EXACT VALUE of contents will be marked on the customs form as required, which is automatically entered via Etsy shipping labels. Please do not ask me to mark down value of the package or mark as a gift, as label will say merchandise and exact value of contents within. Please be aware that International shipments may be subject to customs fees and tariffs that are not covered in my shipping cost and are the responsibility of the buyer. I am not aware what the duties are for each country, but some are quite high. Please keep this in mind that there may be additional charges by your country upon delivery, when making purchases.
It is unlikely that an item will be lost in the mail, but it is possible that delays will happen with international mail. Once the item is mailed by me, I cannot control when it is received by you.
Email notification will be sent to you when your order has been shipped.
Please ensure your mailing address with Etsy is correct - I use what you entered in Etsy to create shipping labels.
Etsy has their own way of tracking international packages. It seems to track when the package leaves the US and when it is received by the customer, but not very much in between. According to my post office I cannot track International First Class packages except to Canada at this time. However, with some countries it appears the number on the customs form will track, but it has been more or less random as far as I can tell.
Please convo me if you would like your order shipped via a different method (additional shipping charges may apply and will be calculated based on actual shipping costs).
