mandala energy objects

All items in the shop are original works, created solely by me. After 20 years of working primarily with the clay medium, I have moved away from clay work, but expect I will return to it in a few years. I like to change the mediums I work with and challenge myself in new ways through the process of making what I imagined take shape physically.

I have always been intrigued by patterns and especially the energy of mandalas. Currently, I am incorporating my hand drawn "yogadala" images with the process of tie dye. These drawings are created to include a figure in a yoga pose and worked in black and white. I then create a negative of the image to be used along with photo sensitive inks on fabric which is exposed to the sun. The next process is to dye the items using fiber reactive dyes.

Soon the shop will showcase my new line of paper embroidery products. Designs stitched on to cards, gift boxes, and journals for a unique and special gift.

Further continuing the theme of mandala designs, I am designing crocheted bookmarks using classic crochet stitches and granny square patterns.

Thank you for visiting!

Welcome to my shop! The yoga mandalas are all original works drawn by my hand and further reproduced as greeting cards or onto travertine stone tiles via acrylic transfer process. Each image is an expression of my mediation on yoga poses primarily from the Bikram Beginning Yoga series.
