Announcement    How about some cute art prints, stickers and cards to welcome SPRING. Yes! We are almost there. Finally. Go ahead. Jump in. Art is good for the Heart and Soul. And I like a little humor too.

Updates

Very busy these days. Getting all my art offerings ready for Christmas. I’m adding mini art on easels, tags and new watercolor illustrations perfect for gift giving. My studio is a total mess. And the mess has creeped out into my office, living room.
This little ballerina is all dressed and ready for her recital. She’s so proud of herself. This watercolor ballerina can be personalized with the child’s name and birthdate. She is available with blonde or brown hair or African American.
A whale of an experiment for me. I practiced my wet-in-wet watercolor technique and after a few tries I came up with this humpback whale. So much fun. He is now available in my shop.

About

You Mean I Can Actually Create ART? Really?

While I've been craftsy my entire adult life, I never thought I could draw or paint. But oh, I wanted to!

A few years ago I finally decided to give it a try. After all - what could I lose? I drew the house behind me. AND. It looked like the house! I was shocked but that encouraged me. I have been moving forward ever since - inch by inch. I'm mostly self taught - drawing and watercolor painting.

Every weekday morning, I sat in the parking lot at work and drew for about a 1/2 hour before I went in to work. Surprisingly, my chicken scratches started to look like art. So I taught myself to paint in watercolor and to develop a style. After more than six years of drawing in my car in the park lot, I have drawers filled with sketches just begging to be turned into watercolor illustrations.

Now I want to start sharing my lighthearted illustrations with you - not keep them hidden from view. Art enables people to feel. It connects with their emotions. My illustrations are lighthearted. I want them to bring joy and connection between people.

Through my Etsy Shop, local art and craft shows, and commission pieces, my illustrations are bringing smiles to people's faces. Now they don’t just live in my heart, but in other people's homes. And hopefully in their hearts as well.

I believe children need art and color in their lives from a very young age. Art speaks to children about who they are and who they can be. It allows them to go inside and connect with their own creative nature; a skill they will need all their lives.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Yep! I can do that. I am able to add names, birthdates or quotes to some of my artwork as long as the customization does not require an entire rework of the art. Fees and time to produce custom work varies depending of the project. Email me and let's talk about your idea. I love helping people express their creativity.

Care instructions

My prints are reproduced with the very best inks that are light-resistant. However, no artwork should be hung in direct sunlight. For best results, your watercolor art should be framed behind glass and kept out of the sun.

Do I ship internationally

I do not ship internationally at this time. Mostly because it can get complicated and I'm a big CHICKEN.

How Do I Ship Your Items

Very carefully. I want you to be delighted with your purchase! For prints, I start with a backing board, then put into a clear archival cello bag to keep it clean. Once protected, I mail in a rigid mailing envelope to make sure it does not get bent on its way to you.

Processing Time

I know you are excited to receive your new purchase so I work to get it to you as quickly as I can - usually into the mail in 1-3 business days. Prints and cards are shipping via USPS and usually take between 3-5 days to arrive at their destination. Unfortunately, I have no control over your package once it goes to the post office. Holiday processing and shipping times will vary however.

How Do You Contact Me

Please send me an email via Etsy. I will try to respond within 24 hours.
