Welcome to Classic Model Cars!
Let’s face it, our world revolves around the automobile! That may be why so many of us have a “love affair” with these “metal monsters!”
We buy them bright, shiny and new…then we drive them, use them, abuse them and spend great sums of money to restore them back to what they were when new!
I have always had a love affair with the Classic Cars of the 20’s through the 50’s. Those were the days when you knew the exact model and make when you saw it. I believe that those “rulers of the Road” were majestic machines in their heyday!
I also believe that no matter how you distress, neglect, abuse or beat up…leave it lying in a barn, roadside, forest or desert…no matter how much rust, dust, grease, grime, broken or missing parts or flat tires…these classics still maintain an elegance and beauty of days gone buy.
That is why I create these miniature junkyard relics to show of the wonderful days
gone by!

There is a variety of shipping options such as delivery confirmation, tracking and insurance when you ship international and it is best to adjust charges and work that out prior to shipping your order.

International Shipping
When shipping international, every country may have custom duties, taxes and fees required when your package reaches your country. Since we have no control over these charges, please be aware that you are responsible for all of these extra charges that may be originated when your package has reached your country. Also be aware that custom charges may delay the delivery of your sculpture beyond our control. We will declare the full value of your package and the custom forms on all international shipping.
It make take from 10 to 21 days or longer for an international order to arrive. This is because of unexpected delays in the destination country. If the country has tightened security with it’s mail arrival, it may take up to a month. Delays of that length and loses, however, are rare.
Please note that we cannot be responsible for orders lost or stolen in the mail.
Additional policies and FAQs
We are open to custom or commissioned jobs as long as the model you desire is available in a plastic kit or die-cast model car. Recently we have been working to distress die-cast models as there is such a variety available to collectors. So far, the works are coming out looking very good.
I prefer to work in 1/24 and 1/25 scale. I have done work with 1/32 scale that comes out very good. Some of the models for sale on ETSY are of this scale. 1/18 or 1/16 scale is a bit too large, however, I will consider the project.
I am an artist. I love to distress model cars and trucks and make them look like they have been used and abused for the past 50 years. It takes a lot of time to “de-construct” a model, sometimes 4-6 weeks. A lot of creative thinking goes into what I do and exactly what I am going to do to this vehicle to make it a realistic barn find. I usually have an interesting historic story about the vehicle I distress.
I have found over the years that many times when I have tried to distress a particular auto or truck exactly to the customer’s specifications that the job falls short of their expectations. This results in an unhappy customer and my desire is to keep my customers happy. So if you find a plastic or die cast model of a particular car, let’s say a 1957 De Soto and you would like for me to distress it in my own way…I would be most happy to take on the commission. I would require one half of the agreed total price down before starting the work and the final half prior to delivery.
Please contact me direct at my shop on ESTY if you have any ideas about a once favorite model car or truck and let’s see what we can work out. I would look forward to working with you!
