My friend passed away last year and I wanted to have his most prized possession, his bike, made into a necklace for his sister for her birthday this month. I spent several weeks scouring the internet trying to find someone who would make this for me. I spoke to around 20 awful people who couldn't help me, wouldn't help me, or just plain stopped responding to me, before I found Rebecca. She was wonderful. I asked her for a sketch and she just made it to show me how it would look. When I asked for it to be a slightly different color she just completely re-made the whole thing in the new color, no questions asked, no extra charge. She was timely and helpful, and she even threw in a pair of matching earrings for free. My friend's sister LOVED the necklace, and so did her Mom. I'm not a jewelry person myself, but if I ever need to buy jewelry again I would purchase form Rebecca again in a heart beat, whether it's something she has already designed, or a custom piece. Amazing amazing amazing. Do yourself a favor and buy jewelry from Rebecca. She has some beautiful pieces in both of her Etsy shops.

Cutting sheets of glass into smaller pieces before putting them in the kiln.
Stacking small pieces of glass, usually three layers thick, before full fusing them together in the kiln.
Grinding the crude fused cabs is tedious, but they look awesome after fire-polishing, making it worthwhile.
Drawing a tiny lighthouse on a piece of glass with vitreous ink before fusing it with other pieces to make a cab.

I derive much enjoyment from pleasing my shoppers with good customer service and high quality products.

I started creating simple jewelry as a child but didn't make any for years while I was in college and starting a career. I came back to making jewelry because I wanted all my pieces to match my outfits and each other, but couldn't find what I wanted in stores. That is when I discovered I needed such a creative outlet. I am a serious introvert, so spending time alone in my glass and bead studio recharges me.

I started selling jewelry locally more than ten years ago and have many repeat buyers (thank you!). I love the look and feel of different kinds of beads and cabs. I also get pleasure from learning new techniques to make and incorporate those little treasures (oh, and collecting them). Inspiration comes from many venues, such as nature, art, science, and the materials themselves. I never lack for ideas, just time!

I find dichroic glass to be incredibly cool and wanted to have custom dichroic glass pendants to use in my jewelry. So, I bought a kiln and learned how to fuse glass 8-9 years ago. Now I have a whole room of glass (I collect it, too) and the equipment and supplies (and after much practice the knowledge) to make unique, high quality pieces. Glass is a complicated and challenging medium that is great fun to play with (and sometimes very frustrating). I get excited every time I open the kiln to see just what has been made of those small pieces of glass that I put in.

My Etsy journey has been a pleasant one. I derive much enjoyment from pleasing my customers with good customer service and high quality products. When my energy is low, I read my reviews to recharge those batteries (thank you!). The Etsy teams are also amazing; I appreciate their unconditional support.
