Clay Coyote Pottery
Clay Coyote started 20 years ago. Our studio, gallery, and home are located north of Hutchinson Minnesota. We are "out in the country." You can see that Clay Coyote was once a farm. Our studio overlooks Todd Lake, which is part of our prairie restoration project. The land is being returned to its natural state after years of farming. It is a beautiful view, and much of our inspiration is taken from the changing seasons. Hutchinson is 50 miles west of the twin cities. A wonderful place to live, or visit! If you are ever in the area, please stop out and visit us. We can help you make an entire day of your Hutchinson experience with suggestions of our favorite places to visit!
We make decorative as well as functional pottery. We have partnered with cook book author Paula Wolfert in recent years, and developed our own line of pottery known as Flameware. Handmade pottery you can put on your stovetop, in your oven, on your grill, or over a camp fire. Cooking in clay makes everything taste better. Thanks to our website and Etsy, most of our sales are now online. We have found we speak to entirely different audiences through each of these places. Etsy friends love our vinegar jars for making your own homemade vinegar. They also love our tagine, cassoulet, and couscous steamers. We are happy to be part of this wonderful community!
We love to cook and share our recipes, which you can find on our blog. Our ties to the community are often a topic of discussion. Farming is a large part of the economy here, and we find inspiration for our recipes from seasonal produce we get through our local CSA Loon Organics. Local food made in handmade pots and shared with our community. Our blog shares many of our other passions as well. Follow our travel mug as it makes its way all over the world.

We ship almost everything through UPS. We find that they are usually the best price, and they take good care of our work. We are also willing to ship internationally. Just send us a convo, and we will check the rates to where you live. If you are interested, we can also give you your tracking number. That way you can see where your piece is.
We don't want to charge everyone the increased price of shipping pottery to AK and HI. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, we may charge you more for the shipping. Until Etsy works out the large gap in shipping within the US, we will do our best to be fair. If you are concerned about the difference, contact us for a quote. We will do our best to find the safest and least expensive way to ship your items.
