5 out of 5 starsUsing this in an unconventional way. My dogs food seems to slip around other bowls with glazed surface, as he’s missing many teeth. I was looking for a very low profile relief pattern that did not have sharp edges, and may have found it. I probably could have conveyed to the artist the purpose, size and bowl edges- but this fit nicely in his bowl. I can’t be the only one looking for such a product!

5 out of 5 starsThis seller is amazing! My original order was a gorgeous clay frog salt cellar, and we've loved having and using it in our kitchen. Unfortunately I broke the spoon, and asked the seller if they could help give me a replacement (it was a gift for my husband). She awesomely was willing, and the spoon was just as perfect as the original!! I'll definitely keep ordering from this shop and the service is stellar.

About ClaycrazyPottery
Clay changed my life, in ways I never expected. I create functional works of art that will enhance people's lives, simple by using my pottery.
.. I took every math class they offered in college. I loved solving logic problems and numbers and data. I used to program computers for a living. I was a systems analyst in corporate America.
.. Then In 1998, I began working in clay in a very abstract way, more as an expression on my inner most feelings. I did figurative and hand built work in ceramics. I found that it was functional work that really got me excited.
.. After many ceramics classes, my wheel work began to expand along with the fascination of the different types of glazings and firings that are available. I do reduction come 10, oxidation cone 6 , as well as dabbling with raku.
...I enjoy the collaboration of with customers working with custom orders.

I make work in one of three places. Either at the local college where I teach, the guild where I teach, or in my basement studio. I do my oxidation firing at my house and my reduction firing at the college.

All my work is hand made from a lump of clay, some purchased in moist form and other mixed in the studio at CCBC. I fire at all temperatures from cone 06, to cone 6 and also to cone 10. I fire raku, oxidation, and reduction. I am looking forward to participating in a wood firing this spring. My glazes are all LEAD FREE and FOOD SAFE. They are durable and dishwasher, microwave and oven safe, unless otherwise stated. That being said, pieces that are more delicate, like sculpted additions, may require more delicate care, and should be hand washed.♥

Additional policies and FAQs
~~ R A K U ** PIECES ARE **NOT** WATER TIGHT OR FOOD SAFE!!!
Here are a few things to keep in mind regarding Ceramic stoneware:
~~ Never leave lit candles unattended. Lanterns, votive holders, candle holders, and luminaries will become hot after they've been lit for a while, even if they are electric.
~~ Handling stoneware for the oven as follows:
Fast changes in temperature can cause thermal shock
Never take it directly from the freezer or refrigerator to the oven. Always let the piece warm up in the oven during the preheating of the oven. Never put ceramic ware on open flame.
~~ Stoneware can be used in a microwave oven, but will absorb heat: use care when taking a piece out of a microwave oven.
~~ Stoneware pieces are dishwasher safe. However, these are one-of-a-kind pieces, so handle them with care when washing to avoid chipping. Once a piece is chipped it is likely that a crack has developed as well. The piece will become weak at the crack and further heating and cooling may exacerbate the problem. It is recommended that it should no longer be used to heat and serve food. If a piece does break, gluing is not recommended for utilitarian pieces. If you do repair a piece, use it as decorative only.
