Original, handmade rubber molds, tutorials & jewelry.
From a miniature meeting to a career.
I began using Fimo in 1981, having discovered this most fabulous clay at a miniature meeting. My sculpting skills grew as I sold nearly everything made in my home based studio over the next seven years. Also during this time I took college courses in design and color to expand my skills.
I taught at several miniature conventions across the country and in local shops until I was hired by United Design Corp of Noble OK in 1989 as a master designer/sculptor for their company. Here I created designs from ½ inch tall dogs, cats and wildlife to a 28 inch tall garden angel. After 15 years the company was sold and closed.
For fun I began making flexible molds for jewelry and marketing them on Ebay. The line was licensed by Sweetbrier Studio in 2005 and many of the designs were sold in Hobby Lobby stores for the next four years.
Sweetbrier Studio closed their doors this February and the rights to my designs reverted to us. My husband, Joe, and I immediately began making molds again and have been busy making, marketing and shipping molds here in the US and to other countries. I continue to be involved in sculpting for original molds, writing tutorials and teaching.
